Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Going to be in the UK this weekend, not too far away from Shepton Mallet, worth a drop in?

    Very good question!
    It's some kind of BSA that looked like it had been half buried in a ditch for many decades, Bonhams have/had it up for auction. It was mostly still mud since it would have collapsed under a gentle hosing. I thought the auction was on the Sunday but have had a look at their website since then and nothing.
    (My mate Kieran thought it had fallen off a landing craft in 1944 and only just been found on some foreign beach :p)

    Sorry for dragging this up again but found the auction results

    https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/23600/lot/301/

    €53,000 :eek::eek::eek:

    Edit: There is a buyer's premium of 20% which might have added another €10,600 plus VAT of 20+% giving a final price of €76,320 (I'm open to correction).

    I'd rather buy a new one for 250,000....at least you get a free service...:)
