Any particular interests? History / sites / have you a car, hiking or cycling?
Good pubs/restaurants in the town, the castle and waterbus worth a trip.

No shortage of Bars & Restaurants in Donegal Town, not to mention as many coffee shops as pubs. All long the west coast out of Donegal Town is stunning, just stay of the main roads and look for the coastal roads.

Take a day head west past Killybegs.
Just after the Blue Haven take the coast road into Kilcar,
then onto Sliabh League Cliffs (via Carrick and Teelin),
Back to carrick and head for Glencolmcille before turning for Malin Beg beach (silverstrand), then follow first signs for Glencolmcille.
From there go to 'Port' (sea stacks - climb up to the right of the beach looking towards the water), it is a treck to get to, narrow road and middle of nowhere but good.
Then head for Meenaneery then Ardara on the way back which will bring you through Glengesh Pass.
That will take a day.... If you do the one mans pass at Sliabh League thats a day on its own. But you do have time to climb to the top of the sheer drop - that will make sense if you look at pictures. If you remove Port, you could loop around St. Johns Point and visit the lighthouse there before Killybegs. There is other things like a waterfall, caves near Ardara, Glen Folk Village.

For drinks, recommend the Forge on a friday, always a good musician in, excelleng Guinness.... dont need to arrive too early....
Food, basically go with what you like, fine dining (also a sunday carvery in the ballroom) head for Harveys Point. Indian is excellent if you like that tbh they are all good, you could just google them and see what menus take your fancy.

Could also go to Rossnowlagh and have a pint/food in Smugglers Creek overlooking the beach.

Go for a pint in Biddys'O'Barnes pub, in the middle of Barnesmore Gap. Its about a 20 minute drive out of Donegal Town on the N15 towards Ballybofey/Derry.
