Looking at the forecast, I'd say it'll stay on RWY16 until 9pm at the earliest.

Turbulence reported all the way down on the approach to RWY16 now. +/-20kts the whole way down.

RWY08 in use at Knock now for the landing FR6673 LPL-NOC.

FR7782 GLA-LDY on approach to RWY08 at City of Derry airport at the moment, interestingly on the RWY08 approach the aircraft crosses into Co.Donegal.

Was listening to atc earlier and EIN77C was requesting a higher climb out after take off to get out of the weather. Atc refused due to traffic
It was at 10,000ft when it passed u under EIN58P at 11,000ft

Nothing to major but just thought I'd point it out. I'm guessing they were having a bumpy ride out.

Crossing a jet at +1000 ft is a nice view for the pax.
I remember coming up the coast on a flight back from Lanzarote at FL 380 when a Virgin 747 went below us at FL370.
A few pax left with destroyed underwear going by some screams.

There was an amended TAF issued for Dublin at 15:06 which gave a prob 30% Tempo 3pm-6pm of 150degrees 32kts g 55kts, which hasn't even come close, highest gust I heard was 46kts today.

You'll find out when you get there. That information is very hard to find and will not be posted here.

Anyone know if the Virgin Atlantic 747 still arrives / departs London Heathrow this weekend?

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,188 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

Anyone know if the Virgin Atlantic 747 still arrives / departs London Heathrow this weekend?

I havent seen a Virgin B747-4 for sometime now in LHR. All I see are B787-9, A330-3 and A340-6. I believe the B747's are in LGW and MAN now. I suppose there always will be a chance one will show every now and again?

Virgin's B747-4's ceased operating out of LHR 11 months ago.

Someone happen at BFS? Aircraft holding at a rather high altitude.

    U2609 LPL-BFS at 16,000ft and LS302 ALC-BFS at 18,000ft.

Just as I am about to post it U2609 seems to be decending.
