FR9429 BGY-DUB and FR2371 STN-DUB breaking off the approach due to strong winds.

    Runway still reported as dry.

Dublin seems to have dodged that squall line.

    FR7257 MAD-DUB diverting to Shannon.

Also FR2371 STN-DUB is heading back towards the UK, going to Liverpool?

EI3253 EDI-DUB have a technical issue and are now cruising at a lower altitude of 10,000ft east of Belfast.

FR2371 STN-DUB looks like it is going to LPL.

    Yup descending into LPL now.

As I understand it, it's when a rapid change in wind causes a sudden increase in speed of an aircraft.

There's people more qualified than me to answer that though

Still more favourable for RWY16, might be making a bit of a mistake

Wind is actually now 240 degrees 19 G 33, so weakened significantly and favourable for 28.

I'd say this is the end of the delays

Squall pushed through in the last 30 mins or so. Winds have moderated significantly since. A/c exiting the hold are heading for 28

Inbound SNN. Showing up as just a 767 on FR24, easily mistaken for Omni/Camber.

Serious amount of holding going on into Dublin for ~45 minutes now. Anyone any ideas what's up?

Heard ATC saying to incoming aircraft that they were giving priority to departing traffic and this had caused delays.

Star Air 767, OY-SRF, currently over the irish sea westbound at FL430. Not many 767's you see flying at 43,000ft

Dublin is still receiving plenty of arrivals at this time, owing to earlier delays.
