They flew over my house on their way back to Westin (at least, that's where I imagine they were headed....right direction for it anyway :D) Very cool, very loud and very fast. I didn't have a hope of getting a photo!

    They returned to Baldonnel.

Do you know why they decided to burn off the fuel rather than dump?

There's a couple of conflicting suggestions in the comments on the article on the avherald, one of them though is that the fuel dump on the 787 is disabled if the flaps aren't fully up which would explain the holding. Another is that the runway was wet so the landing distance was increased so they needed to get their weight right down. I suppose the only ones who really know why though are the crew

Strangely I did the JED turn around last night and we tankered fuel into Saudi
There is a huge difference in fuel price for foreign airlines :)

I can see the Viggen airborne from BAL now and heading NE and also G-SOUT off the coast of DUB heading east.
    Both on FR24.com

Two Bombardier Challenger 300s just landed in Kerry from Bangor in US!

wonder are they in for refueling or somebody visiting Kerry and 1 private jet wasn't enough for them :)

that norweigan 737 landing now in Dublin is after coming from the US - Newburg....quite a long journey for it!

No it's a scheduled service using their new 737 max.

and take on passengers to fly them to the US

Scheduled service, operating from Shannon, Cork (PVD only) Dublin, Belfast and Edinburgh, to Providence and Newburg, and Hartford as well for EDI. There has been alot about these services on these forums lately.

    This morning's 737 from Newburg was not a 737 MAX, it was a 737-800.

And no, it was not a fuel stop, yes it had passengers.

No they are ALL O&D routes not fuel stopovers.

    What's O&D?

    From Google:
"O&D traffic. Origin and destination traffic. The passengers on a flight who are either boarding or deplaning at a particular stop, as distinct from those remaining on the plane to go to another destination"

Basically non onward connecting passengers. Like if you were going to Australia but you stopped off in Dubai you to be using Dubai soley as connection airport. You'd be connecting traffic but if you flew Dublin to Dubai directly and Dubai was your final destination you would be O&D traffic.

The use of Boeing 737s by Norwegian on the services from Cork, Shannon, Dublin and Belfast (in addition to Edinburgh) to the USA has been public knowledge since the plans were first announced over a year ago!

There's a thread with over 1,000 posts discussing it on this very forum.

They started operations in Ireland on 1 July last, and from Edinburgh in early June using Boeing 737-800s in advance of taking delivery of the Boeing 737 Max.
