Vaguely reported on ATC that there was, or could have been.

Yep, it was mentioned in the ATC exchange. In hindsight it looks precautionary.

Its a test flight based on the callsign EI990 but it is the aircraft operating EI109 yesterday that was cancelled.

Maintenance flight after yesterday's dramas perhaps? It's not displaying its normal flight code of EI1XX

EI990 is normally a positioning callsign.

According to flight radar, EI356 appears to have taken off just after EI-990 (DUO flight) bound for Munich and came straigt back. Is this true or a glitch?

Must be a glitch showing as halfway across the Irish sea for me.

Switching ops to RWY16, EI109 DUB-JFK will be soon landing on RWY28 with an undercarriage problem and will block the runway for a time.

Update: Landing gear failed to retract, also I see EI-FNG operating DUB-EWR EI101 diverted to KEF.

"dramatic emergency landing WITHOUT landing gear" according to Dublin Live (caps theirs)

    Well....like... that's just a blatant lie!

That is truly truly gutter journalism.

Fog at DUB now, no issues as of yet, rvr's 900m at threshold, 550m midpoint, 550m stopend, LVP's just in force now, clouds FEW001 and SCT003.

Delays may build up now as LVP's beginning.

EI579 doing a small loop in order to avail of CAT III.

Update: Threshold now 400m, aircraft reporting very poor visibility on landing, that dropped very quickly!

    The usual?

Other than EI-DUZ the other day and one a short while before that, I can't remember many events of this occuring.
