D81824 PVD-SNN had a go-around at SNN followed by an immediate diversion to DUB. CAT II ILS still not available at SNN.

Finally on is way back to Shannon to operate the return flight to Providence, which was scheduled for 3:30pm, 2hrs 15mins ago.

Scheduled for takeoff at 6pm according to Norwegian, which isn't happening as it won't be landing in SNN until that time. 6:30pm at earliest.

Also, regarding the FR805 diversion earlier, that flight was CAT I only and could not use CAT II at knock. Conditions were not suitable for a CAT I approach and hence held and ultimately diverted.

EI3282 Stobart DUB to BRS did a loop SW of Bray after taking off from Dublin. Any reason for this?

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,185 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

Delays in DUB now due weather.

Yep, EI-FYA still on the ground at Providence after arriving in from Cork.

Not sure what'll happen with the return D81824 to Shannon from Providence later tonight.

    Yes it is in Cork.

Presumably the flight from Providence to Shannon tonight will be cancelled too and either a replacement aircraft sourced from elsewhere or EI-FYA will position tomorrow to Shannon having been repaired (if it has gone tech).

Yup PVD-SNN cancelled. They're not having fun with the 737MAX are they?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,790 ✭✭✭✭LXFlyer

Well we also have to remember that if an aircraft goes tech out of the micro-fleet of the six aircraft used on the Irish and Scottish routes, it's going to be far more obvious than one from a fleet of a much larger operation.

1). Not sure I accept this, as the issue occured in Europe where they could have sent an aircraft in from their European operation, and have done in the past.

2.) That wasn't my point anyway, the 737 MAX have gone tech a few times now! Not a major issue, however it's been a little bumpy.
