Some aircraft heading to JFK are turning back and not crossing the Atlantic, LH410 and LH400 to name a few.

Generally back to base (which would be Frankfurt for LH400, not Munich) but it appears to now be holding in the English Channel.

There's been several turn arounds after receiving word from JFK that due to capacity issues they will not be getting in, from what I have been reading.

Both appear now to have taken up the hold over the North Sea/North Eastern UK.

Some idea of the scale of the problem...

The crew had been severely delayed in the terminal in JFK, and so only had enough legal hours to get as far as DUB. They will night stop and position tomorrow

An interesting one, Singapore Airlines A380 repositioning from Newburg down to JFK after it got diverted to Newburg during the blizzard. It attracted a bit of media attention with A380 in Stewart Newburg.

Mostly because people thought Newburgh was too small for it.

Eurowings seem to be hiring in extra capacity. I noted a CSA A319 on FR24 the other day, doing flights for them also.

Not sure on that exact flight but there were a few went around because of wind today.

    FR805 STN-NOC diverting to SNN.

Thomas Cook A330 TCX2853 JFK-MAN also diverting in with an A321 from Thomas cook just behind bringing in flight crew so the A330 can continue on the journey to MAN. Crew must be out of hours.

AA722 seems to have gone around at DUB. Reasonably early by the looks of it.

No ILS on RWY09 at NOC, easterly wind coupled with low cloud means diversion

Looks like they’ve most of the Eastern European national carriers operating for them so, Adria have at least 1 A319 flying for them too (as well as a CRJ flying for Luxair)

Whilst looking at this, I see BMR1502 Stansted to Derry is diverting to Dublin. It looks like it circled Derry for a while before heading this way. Probably fog??
