Saw it over Finglas, then again down at constitution hill between 7.40 and 8.10.

Italian President is in on a state visit, possibly to do with ceremonial elements of that.

Snow and ice at Knock.STN-NOC diverted to Shannon. ACE-NOC in the hold followed by LTN-NOC going into the hold

ATC requested crew EI3272 SNN-EDI to say hello to a 10 year old on the flight :) not something you hear every day!

Used to be fairly common back in the day. I recall being on a few transatlantic flights and there would regularly be a greeting relayed to someone on board from the flight-deck, usually sent from someone in ATC.
Generally a honeymoon couple, a birthday or just a bon-voyage for a someone off on hols. Another of the fun things that have disappeared from our flying adventures.

On transatlantic flights, those requests are usually code for ‘upgrade my friends and we’ll let you skip the line for deoarture’. Works every time :pac:

Helicopter flying over D11 currently with a searchlight pointing down at the ground, guessing its a police helicopter.

Delivery of new aircraft, very common, although can be hard to spot.

Was just surprised to see a pic of it and all with the livery on jet photos already.

A clue is that that's where Boeings are built.

Was that N775BC? I saw it parked in Shannon last week. Still an impressive beast in the metal

Maybe, noticed that it was gone but didn't see the registration.

British airways A320 inbound Shannon from Heathrow.
    Perhaps on a training day?

Yes, it passed through SNN about a week ago and is now at Mojave.

Air India made quite a racket over my house last night at 31000ft. It was headed for Mumbai from the States. Any reason why it would fly so low while all others were at 38+? (B777)

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,192 ✭✭✭✭smurfjed

I had some good trips on those aircraft, sad to see them go.

What type of aircraft was it? I've had 747's go over at high 20's / low 30's and they do sound that bit louder

Boeing 777. It’s the second Air India I’ve noticed low this week. Just wondering why one airline would travel so low compared to others in the same area.
