Likely a test flight, fairly common with EXS at this time of year and the -F suffix.

British guy interviewed on BBC radio this morning three hours away from Wuhan said all the roads were sealed and he had little chance of getting out anyway. Then a Professor who specialises in viruses said that it was a huge mistake to airlift "foreigners" out of China and only Australia had the right idea of quarantining them all on an island until they are cleared to return home.

Talk of BA not resuming flights to China until March.

Pretty much every EU country that is airlifting people out are quarantining them for 2 weeks on arrival

Yes, there is a query like this every time the airline does an air test.

That is a stretch for a 738 especially from STN.
I take it that is for some TLC work?

No bother to an empty 738, it’s off for picklefork repairs in VCV

G-XXEB Sikorsky S76 leaving baldonnel there a few minutes ago heading back to the UK

Indeed, the RYR delivery flights usually come to DUB direct from BFI. The stop in Maine is likely required due to the headwinds encountered going that direction, and the lack of FANS/CPDLC restricting them to FL290 or below (unless using the Icelandic VHF corridor).

Just heard it in Kilkenny, what a noise!

Any idea why it might be off to Israel?

Passed over Enniscorthy there now. Loudest plane I've heard coming this way in a long time.

Lockheed Orion, looks like it's descending into Shannon. Any reason NOAA are visiting this side of the Atlantic?

It has been based / in and out of Shannon a lot over the last few weeks. They did something similar last year too.

Has been holding for over 2 and a half hours. Awful!

Hopefully they get down safely. Maybe they divert to a military base, they'd have a lot of fuel on board and presumably they'd want to be landing with the bare minimum to lower fire risk.

That is not a good situation. However, if they are in a fuel burn, the threat must not be critical.

I wonder if the 767 has a fuel dump capability?

Speculation that the Air Canda jet was targeted by a drone, Barajas is closed to ops due to Drone activity.

Did this fly over Dublin City around 15:15 this afternoon? What sounded like a large propeller aircraft flew over my office. I thought it was an AN12, but nothing came up on FR24.

Though, I see FR24 is linked.

If you review its track on FR 24 you will see that it flew out over the Atlantic and back to SNN.

Arent the engines mounted forward of the gear?

A wedge of a tire was likely flung forward when it burst and sucked back in to the engine. That’s my guess anyway

Four hours in the hold doesn't sound like a lot of fun. No fuel dump on this 767, apparently.

Relative to the aircraft, the top surface of the tyre is moving forward at ground speed, so entirely possible for something to get flung forward enough to be ingested. Although one commenter says they have seen a picture showing damage to the rear of the engine.

    Certainly looks like mapping.
