VOR09 is now looping around the area where HB-PBF was last observed at 175m alt. Odd.
Did he land in a field?

IR280 did some interesting routing earlier. Went north to Belfast, then over to Edinburgh, then south to Luton, then to Valley, and back home to Casement. As far as I could tell, they did a low approach or touch and go at each airport. Can only assume it was some sort of training flight.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

If I recall, he did similar on Sunday where it did some touch&go into Waterford and then straight up to Donegal before looping back. Some experience that, especially if not a training flight!
Perhaps that should be a new cannon-ball event: Touch and go into every Irish airport in one day.

Ah, it looks like there is an air-field there at the point of last report. "Dowth Hall Airfield Cafe".
Bit of an anti-climax after such a long flight considering the cafe is closed! :pac:

Any chance it’s both? Coming home to Avolon so they filled it up first?

It was both, It was being returned off its lease and Avalon had it filled with PPE.

Not a single airplane flying over land in Ireland at the moment.

  • Moderators, Motoring & Transport Moderators Posts: 6,522 Mod ✭✭✭✭Irish Steve

if you have filtering for aircraft, do a filter on callsign FDX, the number of freight aircraft in the air at the moment for just fedex is mind blowing, espcially if you zoom out and cover the USA, the number coming in and out of Memphis is incredible.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

It was X280 which I was seeing on Sunday doing the touch-and go's. It's doing it again today...
