Doesn't always give you a straight answer however, as the aircraft owner could be a shell company/subsidiary for the actual operator. No idea who Town and Country Food Markets Inc, KS.

That's interesting, thanks I've seen this plane at NOC on at least two other occasions

Both Air Contractors 757-200 EI-LBS and Aer Lingus A320 EI-EDP in the circuit at Shannon. Should be there for next hour or two.

It's one of the companies in the portfolio of Mr Phillip Ruffin, hence the reg. Also involved in oil and casinos. I think he has a mansion somewhere down that part of Ireland. He's a mate of Mr Donald Trump.

Ruffin Flight Department also listed as operator of C750 N44PR and GL5T N443PR.

Is that not a Cityjet aircraft?
    (I could be completely wrong)

    It is not.

VLM have operated it for Cityjet before, but Flightradar just doesn't seem to grasp any of VLM's operations quite correctly. Has been based at WAT for a while. Seen it on Flightradar doing 80,000ft over irish sea, before rapidly descending to 15,000ft in the matter of seconds.

Think we could see 07 in use at ORK tomorrow for Stobarts! Never seen that before.

Nasty easterly wind, haven't seen anything like it since I started following aviation weather

    TEMPO 10am-12pm 080 degrees @ 29kts gusting 45kts

Since the 27th of March both DUB-CFN and DUB-KIR in the evening have been carrying the wrong Callsign. Thought they would have sorted it by now.

There is a good documentary on YouTube (search sky news QRA) about what happens if a aircraft entering UK airspace does not respond.

They try every way to contact the aircraft and will send up QRA fighters to intercept if there is no response.

Lost comms could be no radio contact and/or transponder switched off/fault.

Its unusual for non military planes to go 100% quiet.

Neither Ryanair aircraft took off from ORK this morning, likely owing to strong crosswinds.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,170 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

Stobart requesting an approach to 07 in Cork.

Edit: Wind changed to 130 degrees, 34kts gusting 42kts so requesting RWY17.

Edit 2: Entering the hold, wind out of limits.
