looks like its coming in now. strange it didnt go to Shannon as it passed over Clare on the way to Dublin, though i guess Fuel could have been the reason.

not often we see a 340 coming in.

Lufthansa seem to favour DUB over SNN for diversions - not surprising as they already have a substantial operation at Dublin.

EDIT: apparently returning to AMS with engine 2 running idle.

looks like it! The crew may be too short on hours to continue to ATL ?

So what happens to that fuel? Does it disperse enough that it is impossible to see or trace!

Currently cruising at FL150 so possibly has a tech issue now.

Yes it evaporates, at most a very faint odour may be detected.

Blocked aircraft over Duncannon now. Originated out of Waterloo, Canada. Possibly heading for London?

FR24 says these aircraft are normally military or high profile. Any theories?

Private aircraft can request to be blocked too, so it's likely that.

Most commonly business jets for which the owner wants some obscurity. I worked for a US company that had a couple of Falcon 2000s and they were 'blocked' at request, even though the business was only involved in boring home insurance; didn't want to give-away any details of operations to the competitors. Trips to Washington DC could be interpreted as lobbying, another to the home-town of a rival could be prelude to a merger etc

That particular one was GLEX C-FIPX, IP Aviation Group of Waterloo.

Good bit of weather just to the east of Dublin airport, the EIDW feed is currently number 1 in the top 50 Live ATC feeds :)

It's a lot more than just a good bit now around LAPMO east of Howth. Big lightning strikes every minute or less.
