Also saw a Quebec reg RS6 floating about too.

What year / body? The newer RS models are heavily restricted in the US and Canada. Super rare there.

    Identical to this. 2006-ish
It was parked at the end of my road for a week, really should have gotten a pic.

There's a 520d around Waterford done up like an M5(thinks it's a 2011 model if I remember correctly), badge on the back, even has the quad exhausts, it is fairly convincing looking but the brakes are a dead give away - most people aren't going to know, those who do will think the same - idiot - why bother.

similarly there's a white one that's been doing the rounds in Bray for a while - can't recall the year, but is an E60 with the wing grilles, badging, quad exhausts, and a bang of derv off it...:o

The ultra rare launch edition of the BMW efficient dynamics M4.

    It's actually a 420D. The M4 wasn't launched until to 2014.

    Idiot.

This is a proper case of those who don't know don't care. Those who know...know the difference.

I know it is a race car but can someone tell me if the comedy sized wing makes a blind bit of difference. If it was half the size, would it be as effective?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

I'm probably wrong but those cars would mostly be set up for drifting not racing.

Sometimes those ratchet straps arent enough to keep it down on the trailer.

    Ya know, like.

The E60 M5 has a distinctly "diesel" sound at idle/low speed.

    https://youtu.be/VnqkLuwO4vE

Cartell confirmed it was diesel ;)

Also, that video is an E39 M5, with the V8.

A bit more muted I think, I`d much rather have the older one, sounds sooo good

You might be right. Think it was for sale at premier cars a few months ago. Had very big miles for a petrol merc. Coupe.

Not sure what the policy is on posting without a pic but saw a gorgeous RS6 Avant floating around the city centre this evening. He had it debadged front and back but the fat arse and sheer noise was a dead giveaway.

Behind this beast today, was hoping he would pull in so I could get some proper shots, he didn't and once he got on the freeway my paltry 2 litres were well outgunned!

Well more a case of what I didn't see....I'm guessing the one on the right is an old Rolls, but the triple exhaust on the left has me foxed
