When it's in actual development yes, but BMW have been doing it as a marketing gimic since the release of the current 5 series, it gets people taking pictures and chatting thinking they've seen something rare.

Ah ya, it was more a joke, than anything else.

It's just a pity that motor tax is so harsh. Other wise these kind of engine swaps may be the norm..

Yeah Shane732 - search my name on this thread, I drive a very subtle Orange M4 as a daily cause I want to stay under the radar. IMHO its the perfect totally usable sports car.

The new M5 has me totally underwhelmed, and I am the ultimate fanboy. Carwows drag video was released today, and the reviews are thus far damming with faint praise. Its should have been a 4wd 700hp monster, remember when the e60 m5 had 507 bhp and everything else was 3-400.

I had been very close to pulling the trigger on a M4 myself for a good while but in the end I opted for a move away from BMW for a F-Type.
