There are some supercars includ8ng audi r8, gallardo, mclarens 720 and 675lt at st helen raddison blu in dublin. They going to mondello tomorrow and then heading to galway for some west coast trip if anyone want to see them. Im in my girlfriend house without my car so have no chance to get there and going to runway club event so no chance ill catch them tomorrow. But maybe will find the way to get them.

No pics as I was driving, but it looks like there was a fast Ford meet at Liffey Valley this morning before they headed to the runway club.

Was taking the eldest to a football match in Maynooth and as we were passing Liffey on the N4 a selection of Focus St's entered. Less common were the sapphire Cosworth and the Escort Cosworth.

They were being remarkably well behaved for a convoy of quick cars.

There was a silver Porsche 918 there. I saw it going Southbound on the N11 at 11:45am

I think it was this one:

    or

    http://918-spyder-registry.fast-auto.fr/2015/07/21/825/

as the reg had 918 in it.

The plate is '918 S'. It was parked in town last night near Grafton Street. I don't think it's with that other crowd that were at The Radisson.

Porsche 918 Spyder was at Shelbourne Hotel. Probably still there. I'm not that type of person i was years ago to go there just to spot it.

No timed runs. It was ok. They had subaru owners club, Ford owners club and Porsche club Ireland were there. Inside the hangar they had BMW M5 on display and a few other nice motors. I would have liked there to been timed runs and a greater selection of cars. At any of these events I find the car park has a better cars in it than the event itself.

Yeah.....rugged enough looking....can't recall seeing one or hearing of them back in the day. Had to have a peak underneath the rear TBH out of curiosity.

Did you miss the Lamborghini's, mclaren, numerous porsches inc rare and expensive 993 turbos and a gt2 rs, new and old M5's, M4's, M2's, Nissan gtr's, v8 holdens, R8's, RS5, RS6, and about the other 60 cars using the runway?

There were 100 different cars doing runs. A lot of high powered BMW's but an unbelievable amount of nice metal of all marques. There were nice car club stands too and some sponsor stands. But you have to remember that the people doing the runs were the customers here and the spectators were secondary. I was delighted with the organisation and they really seemed to have listened to issues from the last one. The runs were timed just not up on the main board.

However this was in the carpark...and yes somebody brought a fake M3 to a car event sponsored by BMW and where every second car on the runway was an m car..that takes balls....

Being a touch pedantic here but there was no GT2 RS there yesterday. The car you're referring to is the yellow 996 GT2. There was no 'RS' version of the 996 generation GT2 (unlike the later 997 and 991 generations which both had GT2 RS variants) so why the owner decided to put decals on his perfectly nice GT2 to try and make people this it's an RS is beyond me, no different to a 520d owner putting an M5 badge on his car. It's one thing I can never get my head around - you have a rare, expensive, amazing car but apparently that's not enough so you put some cheap stickers on to try and deceive people into thinking it's something that it's not.
    GFS0E2U.jpg

The 996 GT2 is my favourite Porsche ever and I'm happy to see that yellow one is still on Irish soil after all these years (albeit on yellow plates).

While we're on the topic, did anyone else see the 918 Spyder that was in town the other night? I assumed it was here for that runway event but it looks like it wasn't there? Was it just coincidentally visiting Dublin on the same weekend?

No I didn't miss anything on the runway at all. The cars on the runway were unbelievable good. Especially the Lamborghini huracan performante and the numerous BMW's and other cars.

There must have been amazing cars parked in the car park so, I can't see how there could have been a greater selection.

Without completely derailing this thread. There was a one or two good cars in the car park but the cars that were going down the runway were very good some of them I probably won't see again. I think what I am trying to say here is there should have been better cars outside the hangar now im not saying the absolute mint 7 series and LS600h were not good they were and the owners the clubs provided a great selection I would have thought there would have been more Supercars outside apart from the Ford Mustang coyote and Aston Martin Vanquish.
