    Audi S8 “50” TDI

    Is it just me or does the “50” badge look aftermarket using those god awful Letters/numbers you'd find in Halfords?

    DDAD82_A2-_DC1_E-4332-838_F-2990_CE40_F65_B.jpg

    Still a nice car though :P

    Was reading up on Audi’s ‘dynamic badging’

    Don’t know if this is true

    Newton’s second law of physics, which is v=u+at is applied where "a" is acceleration "v" is the final velocity and "u" is the initial velocity and "t" is the time consumed.

    Here, t= 8.2 seconds, u=0 km/hr and v=100km/hr= 27.78 m/s
    So, 27.78= 0 + ax8.2
    a= 3.38 x100/9.81 = 34.53 which is rounded off to 35.
    So its gets the Dynamic Badge 35 TDI

    Looks to me that the 50 is Mercedes lettering rather than Halfords.

    Yeah I think you're right, I couldn't quite put my finger on it but it's definitely after market .. and it looks terrible. (along with the "S8" badge)

    Imagine some fookwit went out and spent the guts of €100k on a 3.0 TDI A8 then suck a load of halfords badges on it.

    Clown

    Well, to be fair to the current owner, it would appear that he bought it like that :D

    Regardless of what badge it has or shouldn't have, tax is 350 and is for well over 200hp and probably plenty of torque to boot.

    Look forward to seeing them drop to affordable levels

    Yeah true, but I'd be willing to bet that once they drop to affordable levels the tax wont be 350 anymore :P

    There's an adhesive on the sticker that makes it stick to the window.
