Seen a Romanian reg ferrari california a few months ago and a Romanian reg Mercedes G63 in whitehall about 2 months ago, both youngish lads driving them. I was getting my phone out the take a pic of the G wagon but thought again when I seen the bunch of lads in it, they didn't look the type who would appreciate an unsolicited picture

I ain`t going to speculate their source of income or the cars origin because its none of my business but its certainly a strange sight seeing such cars being driven on Irish roads.

Odd how Revenue never went after him for VRT on the cars if he has an address here and is using Ireland as a residence. Technically he might not be liable for VRT if he has the cars over 6 months, but I'm surprised they didn't go after him.

I work with 2 Romanians, both will tell you straight up how those lads get their money, it's a bit bloody obvious. There's also another couple who I know who drive around with a couple of Austrian registered BMW's and have been doing so for a number of years. Cheaper tax and cheaper insurance than here. No Austrian NCT of any kind as the cars are here 3 years at least.

And there's me paying my €1800 tax a year like a good little boy.

Nice cars but the roadster is a VW based Madison (see the Beetle indicators).
The Woodie is the real thing though and quite rare, an MB 170V about 1950.
