I was wrong it was not far off that price. As if you look at US prices of an average of 40,000 which translates to about 70,000 and this is US dollars so add tax and extra for Ireland it is not far off todays price but a small bit cheaper.

The US is not a good comparison for anything old and Japanese. They had very strict import laws on a lot of Japanese cars and most of them currently for sale came in on the 15 /25-year-old import rules, meaning they attract a significant premium. Doug DeMuro has a good few videos on this trend when he bought an old school GT-R.

Even the new Supra was selling for 20k+ over the MSPR price, but the market has crashed for it recently as it's been a very soft market.

It's a similar situation here in Canada with the Audi RS series, the last RS6 sold here was the 2004 model and the RS4 was last sold in ~2008. They attract big premiums even with sky-high mileage. We only get the new RS6 new year.

The supra was sold officially in the US.

Taking a completely wild guess here but I reckon they were more affordable. Could be totally wrong though.

I doubt that was McGreggor with the English registrations.

Yeah because that scrote is an upstanding law abiding citizen

You need more money than taste for new g-wagons.

For the last month I have been organising a private drive up the Dublin & Wicklow Mountains in a few cars. This morning we headed off from a viewing point over Dublin City and headed up the mountain roads overlooking Lough Bray before heading past Sally Gap and upwards towards Lough Tay on some of the most incredible driving roads in Dublin & Wicklow and completed the drive with coffee & scones in Powerscourt Gardens. I spent the day in the exclusively rare Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series although I did jump into the 488 at the end of the day for a quick hoon.
