Went to my first "Cars & Coffee" in Bray this morning. Had a great time. Felt a bit awkward pulling in, in a Golf van but everyone is very sound. Defo go back again

New Skoda Kodiaq. There was a lot of interest in this on the stand so it was impossible to get a clear photo with doors closed. Looks pretty good in the metal, just maybe not in this colour...





Obligatory shot of the massive legroom- there was a nearly-6ft French chap in the driver's seat when I took this...



Skoda were also playing a video on some big screens showing how they changed the name of the town of Kodiak in Alaska to Kodiaq for a day. The looks on the faces of some of the people were priceless...

Now this was unexpectedly good... New York concept by Genesis/Hyundai. Looks a lot better in the metal than the photos. The way the steel has been shaped/curved doesn't show well in my cr@p photo, but trust me, it looked great.





A more normal Hyundai, this time the new i30. Looks a bit like a Peugeot 308 to me. The quality of the interior was awful though- lots of hard and shiny plastic



Peugeot themselves had a new 3008



And a new 5008, which has morphed from an MPV to a 7-seat SUV. Looked pretty good too. If its priced right I could see it doing well against the Kodiaq. I wouldn't want to be trying to sell a 65k Ford Edge next year when those two arrive...





Peugeot's version of the Audi Virtual Cockpit doesn't look too bad either

Tesla stand was mobbed. Impossible to get anything like a decent photo. Model X is a lot bigger than I expected. Its almost 5m long, so Q7/XC90 size. Huge amount of interior space, 3 rows of flat floor, massive screen, and those doors...



It really is cool. 110k euro in France, God only knows what we'll have to pay for it here.

In Frankfurt last year, Tesla were planning 4 supercharger stations for Ireland by end 2016. Now we're not on the map at all...




Aston Martin had no stand at Paris, but Bridgestone thoughtfully brought along a new DB11. Absolutely gorgeous.
