I was on my motorbike so no photo unfortunately.

But I saw a 2004 Maybach today on the Naas Road, Dublin. Had a weird piece of equipment on the boot lid. Like a stick on satellite receiver or something.

Very imposing car on the road.

    Was it irish MAybach ?
Enya has 03 D one but it's worst kind - the shorter 57 model with two tone paint.

Belongs to Coolmore stud. Box on the back is a WiFi receiver. Soon to be replaced by a new S-class 600 Maybach I believe.

I know they're impressive inside - but by f**k they're ugly on the outside!

At least the new one looks like a normal s class.

the problem is the alloy wheel design and wheel size - many have the much nicer later sport model alloys and bigger wheels - look up the zeppelin Maybach and see how much better the car looks with diff. wheels.

I know the Phantom is a better car but theres something about the Maybach 62 I quite like.

Yes, spotted outside Merrion hotel quite a bit.

I saw a grey 99 S2000 with a red canopy this morning in Galway. I have to admit I'm easily impressed when it comes to cars, but it has to have been one of the nicest cars I've ever seen in person. Looked like it had coilovers and spacers on, whatever it was it had amazing road presence.

I should be shot for not having my phone on me on Sat, but was over In London and decided to go for a walk around Belgravia and similar areas.
If I remember correctly I saw the following
    RS6 x 4
    RS3 x 2
    RS4 x 4
    R8 x 1
Countless Bentleys and Rolls, only 1 Maybach
McLaren P1, unreal in real life
    Corvette Sting ray (60's version)
Every possible AMG model available over the last 5 years
Too many Porsche and Ferrari's to list the models

Stumbled across this incredibly rare Ferrari 365GTC/4 today, only 505 ever produced and good god the noise out of it:P

Not quite as special as the above, but a last of the line Mk1 S6 is a rare thing and the owner knows it. Two parking spots. I'd nearly do the same.

Spotted a white e46 m3 earlier, also maybe not that rare but I can't imagine there are too many white e46 never mind a white m3. Looked pretty decent to with csl style wheels

Ugly but rare and fast. :p (and a bad pic).

    Twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8, 567 hp.

First time I've ever seen the top engine Superb (3.6l), always wondered if anyone actually bought them. 4x4 and V6 badges.

That's the only 3.6l Superb ever registered in Ireland.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,590 ✭✭✭tossy

It would make a serious sleeper with a turbo conversion.

2350e a year to tax it though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,079 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

I'd like to know who bought it. Surely not a private buyer?

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,854 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

3.6 litre and only 260 bhp

3.6 litre and only 260 bhp

It's a detuned variant of the unit in the Passat R36, only a remap away from 295 (still poor IMO). :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,854 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

When you think of the 2.0 Golf R engine pumping out 300bhp it's miserable. I know it's turbo'd etc but that would be a much more suitable engine IMO but it may not have been out in 2013. A tuned GTI engine would be perfect.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,050 ✭✭✭GustavoFring

Old model since 2008. New one has a 280 2 litre TSI in it.

Same engine and tuning as is in the Leon Cupra?
