Sorry guys, if I see it again I'll try and get a better quality shot of the model.
It's probably the only we'll ever figure it out!

Saw the R8 V10 Plus on Facebook - something they just got in? Hardly a customer car, or is it?

You think? The wheels look lost on it, I had to look up the reg to see if it was a real one.

They had a white R8 V10 but that got sold. This one arrived in on Thursday I think and its up for sale. It has €26,000 worth of options on it bringing the price of the car to just under €300,000.

They sold a grey one of similar spec last year too

R8s must be damn popular in this country then.

There`s a good few of the older v8`s & a few v10`s. There`s a few of the new v10 plus ones too. They`re great cars, great reliability and have a good network of service providers I suppose. Also I`d imagine people go for them cause even though expensive they're low key to other comparable price range cars

In all probability it's more likely to be sold into the UK.

Would it though? I would imagine in the UK the car would be much cheaper

On the subject of R8's. Just fitted the dashcam on Friday and spotted this in Drumcondra.

Wonder how much it cost him to bring his R8 from the middle-east over here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

I'd be more curious insurance wise how it works?
Imagine having to put a claim in...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,415 ✭✭✭goochy

Sorry what R8 are you guys talking about ? The one at beshoffs? They sold an R8 GT recently so they must find a good market for them.

If you're a Saudi and can afford an R8 then I'm sure you could have it flown in without having to worry about the cost.

Oh I know that. Money is no object for him/her but I was just curious as to how much it was.

Are they Saudi plates or Saudi export plates, if export plates, how did he obtain insurance?

Probably quote him cheaper if he promises to keep it out of the country for a few months of the year, road accidents and deaths in the middle east are massive, plus there's no concept of "blood money" here :o
My saudi 5.7 litres insurance is peanuts compared to my 1.6 litres in ireland.
