    Hi all,

Looking for some help to find a nice restaurant.

There will be approx thirty of us including 9 kids. We want nice food, since it's our wedding day. Will want to arrive about quarter past one but dont want to order until about two. want to be allowed time to enjoy meal but happy to vacate at reasonable time to allow restaurant to set up for evening. Don't want to stray to far from Merrion square (stephens green is the max distance we are willing to go).

Not too worried about price, more our criteria. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Dobbins?
They have lots of experience with weddings:

Very nice food and nice location, just off Merrion Sq too.

Have heard of a few weddings in Fallon & Byrne recently, might be worth looking into.

Matt the Thresher is a large pub that does good food and are amenable to large bookings:

You might think about posting in the wedding forum here too for more ideas/reviews

L'ecrivain - has a nice balcony/smoking area too, you could have upstairs to yourselves nearly.

Pearl Brasserie is very nice too

Cellar Restaurant in the Merrion could also be an option

If it's far enough away you could try and persuade Etto on Merrion Row to let you book out the place (doubt you could fit many more than 30 in there).

The school house maybe? My friend is having her wedding lunch there.

Cliff Townhouse on St Stephens Green? http://www.theclifftownhouse.com/

We had our Christmas party there, disappointed doesn't come close. How about the Dylan hotel or is that too far in the other direction? Just at the end of upper baggot Street. Or fxbs on Pembroke Street?
