VOTER registration on supplementary register must be RECEIVED by Feb 9th

See if you are registered here:
    https://wicklowcoco.checktheregister.ie/publicpages/ereg.aspx?CID=16&uiLang=en-GB

    Registration Form here http://www.checktheregister.ie/appforms/RFA2_English_Form.pdf

Here are contact details for Wicklow voters who have any queries

Wicklow County Council (external link), County Buildings, Whitegates, Wicklow
    Ph: +353 (0)404 20100 , Fax: +353 (0)404 67792,

    Email: cosec@wicklowcoco.ie OR franchise@wicklowcoco.ie

The above is Wicklow specific but was deleted from that forum.

The 30% who did not vote in 2011 could have changed the course of Government for our good if they had voted. Please see slides 18-20 to understand the shocking state of our nation:

I will be voting for Right to Change candidates and giving no preferences to Fine Gael, Labour, Fianna Fail or Renua.

Our economy is very much dependent on global factors and these have been very much in our favour over the last 2-3 years. Yet, of the 300,000 jobs lost just over one third full-time jobs have been restored and there is a 30,000 increase in the number on Jobbridge type schemes over 2010 figures. Over 80,000 people are on these schemes now. These are low paid schemes still funded by Department of Social Protection but the participants are taken off the unemployment register.

The economy will not suffer over the six weeks because Fine Gael Labour politicians are canvassing and it will not suffer if they are not back in power from March. The only decisions Fine Gael Labour made was to do as told by Frankfurt. This, followed by endless campaigning and photo ops. Our economy is overly dependent on global forces and we've been lucky until now as they've been in our favour. But, the global forecast is not good unfortunately so we must be prudent. Promising to take €4bn USC out of tax revenues is not prudent!

We need reduced taxes on low to middle income earners as their extra cash goes straight back into our economy increasing VAT receipts etc. Savings from tax breaks for high earners ends up invested mostly in non-Irish shares and international pension funds with no direct benefit to our economy. So it is in our interests to reduce taxes for low to middle earners but not for high earners. That is what Right to Change candidates propose.

Do not let the media scaremongering about an alternative government without Fine Gael or Labour etc being "risky". Fianna Fail said the same things when they clung onto power in 2007, they were re-elected because people believed the scaremongering about the economy. €2,000,000,000,000 debt later, we should have learned our lessons!

Fine Gael had to flip flop today on claims they can get rid of USC. Sinn Féin called them out on their claims they had a €12bn "fiscal space". The Fiscal Advisory Council agreed with Sinn Féin and Fine Gael have had to admit they were wrong...by billions! They cannot cut USC without stealing the money from public services or, as is probable, raising PRSI.

Please register to vote and please vote for real change, vote Right to Change candidates and also consider the Social Democrats but please push them to issue a commitment they will not support a Fianna Fail or Fine Gael government!

Oh, you may have missed it but all Wicklow councillors except for Sinn Féin and, Right to Change parties and independents, voted to increase your property tax.

    It's in your hands!

So this isn't really a request for people to register, more of a party political broadcast for Right to Change then?

    Exactly.
A more appropriate title for the thread might be:

PLEASE Register to Vote BY Feb 9th if you intend on voting for Right to Change, otherwise don't bother! - IMPORTANT :D

Where to start with this? It is full of contradictions and holes.

Just look at the two bits in bold.

"Promising to take €4bn USC out of tax revenues is not prudent!" and then "We need reduced taxes on low to middle income earners"

Which is it? The first statement criticises government policy, the second statement endorses government policy.

It is mind-boggling incoherent. At least the likes of the Social Democrats are up front and say they won't cut taxes.

Probably would have voted this time, but going to be out of the country so can't.
As the short notice of this election did not allow time to post the application for a postal vote and have it in the required 22 days before election day.

“Follow the trend lines, not the headlines,”

Just on registration. I sent off an RFA3 form (the change of address one) over a month ago. I'm still listed at my old address when I go to checktheregister.ie. Any idea how long this should take? Is the website up to date with the actual register?
