If what your saying is true, then why hasent flatcap or the other main gunman being hit yet ? or even the monk himself ? The above poster is right, there are many enemies of the costas who would be only to glad to help monks, once they under the radar.

The other main gunman has had attempts on hes life and only survived by a miracle on two separate occasions, maybe it will be third time lucky for him. I don't know why flat cap hasn't being killed yet but I would say they have something in store for him I would say he will definitely be killed before being arrested anyway.

True that but Kinahans are assets rich and cash poor at the moment with all the attention Liam has attracted since regency nothing more about bent gardai on there books and I've said it disso link hasn't helped monk already but look we'll have to wait for the next chapter of this to write itself.

It hasn't even been six months yet since the Regency attack.Lets revisit this question in a year or so. I think the luckier ones of those involved will have lengthy jail sentences a la drag lady. No need to spell out where the others will be.

He survived all those years without powerful enemies and large sums of money on hes head, He can be got I can assure you that. Whether he is or not is a different story though he would want to cut off all contacts and move to central europe if he wants to live and live like a recluse. At one time he was the most respected criminal in dublin but that has all changed now, now any criminal in Ireland would sell him out for a quick buck and that includes members of hes so called "crew"... Not picking sides or anything by the way just saying it like I see it.

For once, I agree with you.

Yeah, sort of. Figured that someone on here might know something. I don't see any validity in his claim to the guards that he was involved in cage fighting. A very strange statement to make IMO

I know someone that lives locally and they recently told me about the case.

    It's over 2 years old.
As with most of these cases, and mentioned in the link you posted, murdered over a drugs debt to a south inner city gang.
The article also mentioned the victim having links to other gangland assassins.
Don't think anymore needs to be said about possible reasons he was murdered.
If the cops don't know of one individual responsible, don't think a forum is going to know.

He said he was friendly with assassins not that he was himself one...

The reason he was murdered may be in that link.

    This Jim?

James Talbot (46), who had a distinguished boxing career when he was younger and studied law in university, was targeted at Abbeywood Court, Lucan, Co Dublin, just before 10.30pm.
He was taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown after the attack.
The Garda said a car that may have been involved in the incident was found ablaze a short time afterwards in Earlsforth Estate, Lucan.
The scene of the shooting was sealed off last night and was due to undergo a full forensic examination this morning. The victim is well known in the boxing world and has worked in the fitness industry.
Gardaí said last night’s shooting had all the hallmarks of a gangland attack.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have may have seen the car moving or being parked to contact gardaí in Lucan on 01 6667300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
The former professional boxer and personal trainer had been arrested in 1997 in possession of £300,000 worth of heroin by gardaí who spent two weeks under cover waiting for the drug to be collected.

Indeed. Is it common for a man with a young family to jeopardise everything for the easy money the drugs trade offers? He was killed at home and his family could have easily been in the line of fire. Also, how can an ex pro boxer in his mid forties claim to be involved in cage fighting. Far past his prime he'd surely provide no entertainment value to watch??

He had a connection with John Gilligan or was that someone else

What a strange question.....revolving around cage fighting.
I don't get what answers you think you will get on the forum.

People do stupid and despicable things to get easy money, including jeopardise their entire family.
    Ala hutches!!!!

Pulled off some fairly significant armed robberies, as well as sold drugs... Though I do believe it to be true the main man himself was never involved in drug dealing the same cant be said about other members of his family...

Oh I see. So dosn't everyone that makes those career choices put their family in danger or is it just the hutches ?

Most people involved in organized gangland crime are putting their lives in danger to a degree... But thats not the reason the Hutches are in so much danger right now. Its because they took a shot at a leading criminal gang who dont let things like that slide.

In retaliation so the hutches weren't willing to let it slide either. Anyway its getting boring now reading the same things over & over don't you think?

Yeah, careful what you say. Given the size of the Hutch family, the odds on one of them having been to law school aren't that slim!

    Oh look!
Defenders of honour to the rescue.

Sure it's never easy to kidnap, extort, steal.
We should have respect for those that do.

You are just as scummy as the act if you believe that.
