Really hate this attitude.

We can't just casually dismiss a gangland killing that is happening on our streets.
It's lawlessness that is highly dangerous that inevitably results in innocent victims such as that poor plumber a few years ago in Finglas as well as the traumatised eyewitnesses like those on Friday.

Don't under estimate the other side, You don't need property in Brazil to do what they did on Friday and if it's believed they have the backing of the RA

You can't kick down the door on an IP address. If it's a fixed ip then there's a fair bit of access to various sources to trace it. I'd imagine these people have other things on their mind than boards.

Yeah thats true I used to live in the area where hes from and there is a strong republican presence around there expecially in the boxing clubs ect so good point.

My point was that it was inevitable, most of these career criminals end up having a work related death.

Expanding units like the detectives and the ERU may need to be done in the future. But beat cops would have done absolutely nothing, in terms of prevention.

I'm a bit sceptical of politicians falling over themselves today to promise more non jury courts. (Nice timing for the election as they try to outdo one another to be "tough on crime") Will it really make much difference. How many gangland figures have been convicted in non jury courts for all the gangland hits over the years ? You have to catch and charge people first remember. And what about witnesses ? Not having a Jury doesn't stop witnesses being intimidated and afraid to come forward.
