I am buying a 16 seater minibus in the North. Its a 2006, 2.4l diesel standard size. My plan is to remove the rear seats leaving only the first 2 rows (seats for 6 people in total) I the wish to present this at the NCTS centre and have it classified as a category N1 Crew Cab van. What kind of problems can I expect to run into?

Is it just a matter of sending me to a NSAI approved test centre to get the conversion certified?
Will there be an issue if i dont have a bulkhead panel installed behind the seats?
Will they request I block out the windows?

    Thanks

You can forget about it now as crew cab vans are no longer possible from the end of this month

The N 1 European classification for crew cabs comes to an end on the 30th July.

After that only vehicles with a separate load area and passenger compartment (pick up type) or 2/3 seat vehicles will qualify as commercial vehicles.
