I got a reply to my email about the Imagine equipment. They will take it "the next time they have a team in the area". Fiber is live here now so I know ify at least 10 imagine customers they will lose very near here. Can't see how Imagine will survive as they don't offer fiber unlike some other wireless companies.

The decline continues, the Examiner is reporting Imagine Broadband is to switch off 6 base stations, 3 in Cork. Customers have been notified.

    Government not forthcoming with support.

Looks like fibre and Starlink are chipping away at their customer base. I assume the masts being switched off are no longer financially viable

Pretty soft on Imagine in that article … lots of references to "Communities" who will be suffering because the Gov won't find a solution for Imagine … a private company, who took a gamble and lost! 👀

Also this is pure horsepoo (emphasis mine):

More base stations are expected to be switched off over the coming month, potentially leaving many customers with no alternatives or poorer broadband service, if a solution is not found.
