Good value accomodation central london

I know there is probably no such thing , need to stay in London Sat. week - central London - sorting out a family dispute - otherwise would have stayed with them !
anyone recommend somewhere safe and clean - not hostel - that is good value by London standards . My relative lives near Soho so don't want to stay outside centre as don't have enough time in London .

I am looking also for a cheap accommodation for one night for a group of 4 people but for the moment no luck!

Hey OP, have you tried looking at Shepherd's Bush? There are a lot of B&B's between here and Hammersmith and it's on the Central Line, meaning 10 - 15 minutes to Soho (Oxford Circus/Tottenham Court Road stop). There are also a lot of 24 hour buses from central London to there that also only take about 20 - 25 minutes.

Have to agree with the travel lodge in Holborn, tube straight from Heathrow 5 minutes walk to the hotel. It's clean, central and relatively cheap. Great location for the British museum and covent garden,

Hi, I have been this weekend to London and I stayed in LSE Carr-Saunders Hall.The accommodation was very nice and very close to the city center. I would recommend it for a short stay (1-2 nights)
