I'm new to this area so please be patient! :D

I'd like to have internet radio in a simple and cost effective way, but still have plenty of sound.

I know I could hook a mobile or tablet up to the bluetooth and stream from there but is there a device with Tunein Radio prefitted?

    Please advise.

I'm not aware of any product with specifically Tunein App installed. However there are a number of internet radio options available. I have the the one listed below and it's verey good for my needs.
However note, it does not have bluetooth build in, it connects to your Lan and the internet via wifi.

nothing really, except a standalone device that does not need your mobile phone...

    An extra unnecessary thing?

A speaker with ability to connect to the internet directly, an internet speaker or radio broadcasting device as it were.

So, nothing like an internet radio then....?

Not at all. I have 3 stand alone Internet radios in the house and they have Tune In on them. You just use them as ordinary radios without needing to hook up your phone and stream from it. Plus the kids can use them, as I said, as if they're regular stereos.

I guess it's all down to taste and personal preference really.
From my own experience, I have bluetooth speakers in pretty much every room, so the need to have an internet radio is something that was never high on my list of priorities.
However my wife wanted a simple good quality FM radio, with a standalone remote control for the kitchen. In addition it would be “nice” but not important if it played internet radio, and it would be a bit nicer but still “not critical” to stream music from our NAS.
So the internet radio (the one I linked to above) more than met those criteria. In addition to this it is standalone, and just works when it is turned on. There is no flapping around with wifi settings and Bluetooth settings, and being connected to the wrong device etc.
We are actually getting far more use from it than I thought we would – especially music from the LAN.
Is it an extra unnecessary thing? Yes, but most things really are at the end of the day….

Not sure about the radio capability but these list here are some of the decent bluetooth speakers I know (http://www.consumertop.com/best-bluetooth-speaker/).

Find out for yourself if any of them provides what you're looking for. I am not sure if Sound Blaster or Sharrk can do that, but the best workaround I can think of is use a mobile device, stream from there and connect via bluetooth.

I think you can use the 6 preset buttons and program them to your tunein app, not sure if its any app or specific apps associated with Bose.

THere are other soundlink versions that are a bit cheaper but I think this is what you are looking for.

Also worth a search for reviews on them on Youtube

Took a different route with this idea eventually.

    Bought one of these:

350w with bluetooth etc. I can play music from phone/tablet and even remote control the thing with a Panasonic Juke App.

Playing the radio via tune in radio is easy and works 100%.

    Unit cost €130. Not bad.
