Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

So your really looking for a car with fold-up seats in the back.
You can only fit so much into a certain space (unless you get the Tardis:) )
I've have experience of the Trajet, Grand Senic & Avensis Verso - but non of these suit you (the Trajet is probably the only one that looks really big)

There is lots of choice out there - but it depends on your budget.
Be mindful that may cars were used as the "kids transporter" and have internal wear and tear particularly in the back seats (fights, spills etc). So if you see one in very good condition snap it up.

As I said there is loads of choice - see below a selection from just one garage. I have no connection with this garage. Its just to demonstrate that there is a large choice. (I did but=y a car off him 3 years ago and have been in recently looking for an upgrade)

    Best of Luck

Thanks but am looking for something fairly new (under 5 years) and not as big as a standard people carrier/Picasso size.

Current choice is a new X Trail.

We must understand 'size' slightly differently...

You're right, I left out part of my original post-

Just looking for some opinions on a 7 seater that isn't a large people carrier (e.g. Ford S-Max/Renault Grand Scenic etc.); looking for either SUV or 'close to standard-sized car.

We like the style/look of SUV s but not as much of standard people carriers.

And that's completely different story :)

As you've seen, there is Volvo XC90, Nissan X-Trail/Qashqai+2, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mitsubishi Outlander, Kia Sorento.

I don't know if Fiat 500L MPW would work for you :)

Plus some of the estates with additional row of seats...

    Hi OP,
Did you make your decision yet? I saw an article in the paper on family cars and the Mitsubishi Outlander 7 seater and Hyundai Tucson were recommended. ;)

It recommended a vw golf trend line, outlander, insignia and Tucson.

I thought you could get a 7 seater tucson? My friend has a 7 seater sante fe and thought Tucson replaced it?

Tucson replaced the iX35 and both are way smaller than a Santa Fe.

the only 7 seater there is the outlander. there's a new model Santa fe but it's bonkers money.

Qashqai +2 would be a good option.
