    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Just yourself and 4 kids? What ages are they? If they are not very young something the size / config of the Coleman with the two "bedrooms" would be roomier / cooler. If they are really small, it might be more comfy / safer for all of you to be snug together in the one "bedroom" like in the Vango. It will be tight enough though!

Both these companies are long established, reputable makers of quality tents. Gelert less so.

Just purchased a Vango 4 man tent from The Outdoor Adventure store.. They have great deals at the moment and Charles Camping also.

Depends really what you want, the old school frame tents are great for rainy days camping.. At least you can stand up in them and if tis raining ye can all sit in and have enough room to eat, or play games. Charles Camping has good deals for these.. They are fine to put up with a bit of practice. Sorry I cant add the link properly as it keeps jamming

Then suppose the dome tents are good but a lot of strings and that, can take a while to put together.... Look for one maybe with less strings..
Especially if the kids aren't of the age to help out that much.

O Mearas is another good place to buy. Something like this would be quite good aslo as you have room in the middle for shoes and for the kids to sit if the weather is crap http://www.omearacamping.com/omeara-camping-family-6-man-dome-tent---floor-display-model-ref-5-5678-p.asp

I am looking for a tent that is easy for me to put up and not expensive to bring the 4 kids camping.
I grew up with a trailer tent and frame tent,I could use the trailer tent but it is way too small for my family now.

    http://www.millets.co.uk/tents-camping/171651-vango-carrera-500-tent.html looks good...any opinions?

something like - https://www.theoriginalfactoryshop.co.uk/gelert-atlantis-five-man-tent is too small.

    http://ie.sportsdirect.com/gelert-horizon-6-tent-789169?colcode=78916916 might be an option

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coleman-Coastline-Deluxe-Tent-Person/dp/B0030BG9QK/ref=sr_1_5?s=camping-hiking&ie=UTF8&qid=1455056231&sr=1-5&keywords=vango - looks good too.

We won't be using it for month long breaks in France but would like to use it for a week here and there,it needs to be easy enough for me to put up and not take over the whole car.

I'll go out with you to Charles Camping some weekend if you like. For what you're looking for might be better to see them up close and personal.
