Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should be a win for United, needs to be a win for United considering at least 2 of the teams in the Top 4 will drop points this weekend. So with that in mind, 1-0 Sunderland.

I am pretty tired and when I was reading the teams there I seen O'Shea and then Kone and wondered who this Kone lad was as I didn't remember hearing about United signing him.

Then I seen Van Anholt and that woke me up a bit. :D

A United win, maybe a draw at a push. Neither of which are any good to Sunderland who desperately need 3 points. :(

I'll be keeping a close eye on Borthwick-Johnson

Two fairly evenly matched teams but Utd should have enough quality to win by a goal.

Fairly evenly matched, yeah both will have 11 players on the pitch :p

    Utd should win comfortably.

Hopefully going by recent form they will be straight out of the blocks and score an early goal.

Sunderland look awful from what I've seen of them this season.

Early kick-off in the rain is like big team kryptonite.

They've been good in their last two games

Fellaini not in squad, replayed by Sneiderlin.

Love, Weir, Pereira and Keane all on the bench for united along with Herrera, Depay and Romero

Must be injured. I don't think he'd have been dropped after his performance v Chelsea anyway.

    China window still open?

He was playing well so it must be an injury. Could be a big loss for today.

****, i never thought id say something nice about him.

Hoping for a Manchester United win because I don't see us (Newcastle) getting anything from the Chelsea game later.

Sunderland played well against the other Manchester team recently and I'd expect them to employ a similar gameplan against them.

They'll certainly make a game of it but I'm hoping that the quality of the away team shines through a bit more. Looking at that bench, I don't see much by way of game changers but that being said, I've not been too honed in on Manchester United of late so their squad depth looks pretty frail.

Open to correction on that of course.

LVG said he needs rotation as Fellaini has played a few games in a row and need rest or he'll be injured.

Have to get the 3 points today or top 4 is just not going to happen IMO. If we want to progress we have to be beating Sunderland.

    2-0 to United.

De Gea won't be happy with himself there. It's travelled a long distance and not at any particularly great pace. Just a poor reaction to it, far too late.

Matter of time before United equalise here. Standing off far too much in the final third.

Michael Owen thinks that that chance that Sunderland missed was a 'missed chance'. Thanks Michael.
