I find the A4 had a spacier interior particularly in the back which you'd expect as its a bigger car. I wouldn't find much difference in interior build quality A4 probably felt slightly better put together. The A4 was a good bit heavier and you can feel the difference between the two the extra weight had its pros and cons. Haven't had issue with pedals in either of them and I have size 12 feet.

I think the A4 is a good size not too big not too small which makes me think I would find the A3 small as their is a bit of a difference but would be similar to my Leon with a bigger boot I suppose.

90% of the time it's just me in the car, going to or from the office so it's fine for that. Cabin doesn't feel cramped from the drivers seat.

At the weekends I'll have 1 or both of the kids in the back seats, but they are only 4 & 5 so no issue with leg room at the moment moment.

Wouldn't like to be running it as the main family car though as it would be a bit tight for space, especially in the years to come, but we need to give her car a run at the weekend anyway to keep the dpf clear.

Seats could be a bit more supportive - S-Line is much better in that respect, but I do like the built in smartphone interface that works well most of the time.

So 101010 has a decimal value of 42.
You put each digit with a power of 2 beside it so the above would be:

1x32+0x16+1x8+0x4+1x2+0x1 = 32 + 0 + 8 + 0 + 2 + 0

= 42

Too be honest I am fairly disappointed with it.
It's a facelift model new for 2017 but offers nothing worth talking about over the older one.
I have a 2013 F sport and straight away the analogue clocks are a disappointment as well as several other missing features that I have.
Also seemed a bit more sluggish than mine which it shouldn't.
Is it lower emissions I wonder and if so would that effect power?
If I was buying and got rid of mine for this I'd be kicking myself

They still have a very dated interior compared to the German rivals, for example the interior door locks which are the same in my 05 can be seen on the really old Corollas! The F sport is a nice car and is fairly expensive over the SE...

Was in a taxi one recently and loved it. That closed in feeling reminds me a lot of the orientation of all controls to the driver in the E46 driving position.

It’s not bland. But it is a total mess inside and out. And as someone else said, there are things in that interior that you’d have seen in a mid-‘90’s Avensis, door handles, locks, lighting switchgear, etc. I just can’t abide Jap interiors.

What car/cars would you rate as having nice interiors?
I liked my A4 b6 but it's dated now and I think newer Audi's went down hill from then imo.
A couple of times I looked into buying BMW but the dash put me right off.
I have driven Skoda,Merc E class' at work and I'd prefer my is any day although the lastest mercs do look nice inside.

My brother bought an Optima recently,loving looking,sit in and the dash is like something from 20 years ago.

Can't say I agree. What do you mean by locks?

Also light/indicator/wiper stalks completely different to the usual Toyota ones like the older IS had.

The interior door pull / release handles on the door cards and the lock button next to it. Very 1990s Toyota imo.

Just not for me but each to their own.

It just seems to be the way the majority of vag fanboi's are. No matter how good the alternative product is they can't see past the badge and tend to nitpick and sneer at alternatives, especially from asian manufacturers even if a lot of what they are moaning about doesn't add up in reality.

Thing is I don't find it busy at all.
It's got the same stuff as most cars.
Im wondering is it the air vents making it seem like it's busier than usual?
Like if they had flaps that closed would it seem less busy?

Oh and my last 4 cars were vag,Jap,vag, Jap so I am not biased.
I'll sit in a car and if I like it I'll buy it no matter what it is.

Backed it up with what valid reason though? You harped on about it having some switchgear from a 1990's toyota which as another poster has alluded to just isn't the case.

Any thoughts on changing the Civic Colm? You've had it a while now at this stage? Seems to have been a pretty good car to you though!
