Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

White wouldn't be my first choice for a car normally but that looks incredible.

Always wanted to drive one of these. What I could never understand is why they put the aerial midway over the drivers side of the car and not dead centre over the middle of the car, can't see any possible reason too?

They leave the middle free to put your CB aerial

Where was that and what were you in? It is the emergency number alright, its not a personal reg, just a random selection.

Can't remember where but remember the number plate and the Car. I'd say it might have been between Clonmel and Kilkenny, but I'm on the road everyday somewhere different. A6.

Nice! Will you use the original one for parts or?

Silver one came first. Bought for peanuts - condition reflected price. Buddy (Ford trained master technician) went through it for me and came back with a list that would have been near 1300 to have it mechanically perfect. Would have been standing me over 2k then with poor bodywork and 200k on the clock. Suppose I could have just done the necessary and driven it through winter for less than 500 but I know myself I would have been constantly "sure I'll just do this ... and this ... and maybe this" and I would have eventually spent over the 1300 on it :pac:

So just bought the blue one instead in much better condition, viewed in better circumstances. And the silver is a spare should I need any bits (no, I've given no thought to what I'm going to do with it :o)

Hopefully won't need much out of it, but I'm tempted to take the chrome headlights and fit them to the blue one. Will swap parcel shelf alright as the mounts are damaged in the blue one. Might swap the boot carpets (black for grey).

Sorely tempted to take the twin exhaust off the silver one and put it on the blue. Probably be a ball-ache though and definitely require cutting bumper :o

Right now I'm not a huge fan of the black headlights (front seems too dark or something to me) but who knows. Silver one isn't standing me much so for now there's no pressure to offload it :)

Personal taste I suppose. I'm torn between them. Will be working for the next 5 nights straight so won't have the time to do anything with them any time soon. By the end of it I may not want to ;)

Just have to get rid of the Donegal-spec plates tomorrow though - was already pulled by an unmarked car because of the yellow one on the back :(

Best of luck with them/it, I had to let mine go as the injectors were on the way out. I should have just fixed them and driven on, regret not keeping it.

Just home from there now and the bloody car was remapped already by the previous owner
I bought the car from a garage and they mentioned nothing either
The lads had a look at the map and were quite happy with it's parameters though did make a slight adjustment to lower the fuelling slighty

    DPF gutted and mapped out
    EGR disabled

They give it one run on the dyno to see how everything was and see what figure the car pushing out

I was quite surprised with the total figures and the lads were quite happy to leave it as it was as it was a smooth map with good bhp and torque delivery

    Results below

Was it Jarek did the mapping?

Jesus no way 249bhp, upon further looking at the dyno results it says the max power was 185km not sure wether that's meant to be 185kw but it can't be because the car is only a bloody 2.0TDI 140bhp standard

Decent gains from a 140 tbf.

So the far was originally 140 and now it's 249?
109bhp on it's stock clutch, brakes and box?
Seems way too much to me

I'd be taking it very handy tbh, using all that power all the time will probably end up causing you issues.
