Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd be taking it very handy tbh, using all that power all the time will probably end up causing you issues.

Going by the map graphs that max bhp figure is achieved at over 4000rpm
It's a steady power increase throughout the rev range not like I'm getting 185bhp at 2000 - 2500rpm

Plus I'm old enough and wise enough not the be belting around the place in low gear high rpm max power

It's just nice to have that kick of that extra bhp and torque available for quick and safe over taking etc plus the odd blast here and there when the roads are near enough quiet

The lads had a look at the map and were quite happy with it's parameters though did make a slight adjustment to lower the fuelling slighty

    DPF gutted and mapped out
    EGR disabled

They give it one run on the dyno to see how everything was and see what figure the car pushing out

I was quite surprised with the total figures and the lads were quite happy to leave it as it was as it was a smooth map with good bhp and torque delivery
Mind if I ask roughly how much the above would cost if they'd had to map it too?

Not my pictures.......however I've this week bought this very early Clio from Renault UK. It's part of their Heritage Fleet and was used primarily for celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Clio in the uk.

I'm awaiting delivery in the next week or so and am very excited.

And that's Nicole from the original ads with the car.

121kmh indicated speed is usually a fair bit lower in reality.

Interesting purchase. My first car was a 94 clio 1.2 3 door. It was a nippy little yoke, and comfy to boot. Thought it was great at the time

Fvck me that's a lovely 535d!!! Well wear!

How did you find dealing with Colm Quinns? Was it Robert you dealt with by any chance?

Get Dr. Leather liquid cleaner, a detailing brush and a few microfiber cloths and you'll have that steering wheel back to a lovely matte finish in no time. It's shiny because it's dirty from grease and oil from hands.

Also, nice RX8 in the background :D

Thanks lads, delighted with it in fairness. Big step up from the 525d. The dark grey hides the wash damage from previous owner very well but i might get a polish done on her after xmas.

Well spotted Metzgar, I noticed it myself in the car park. Already bought some leather protector from curran they didnt have cleaner in stock so waiting on that to give it a good overhaul inside. Its in great nick anyway to be fair.

Quinn's were good to deal with and gave me a better price on my 525d than a Seat dealer, by 1500. Car is going back to them next week, condensation and water drops building up on lights. Be interesting to see if they go ahead and replace them or try tell me it's normal.

No more like 35mpg...and that was taking it handy at motorway speed.

    Don't be complaining. I don't even manage 25mpg in a 2.5 Petrol E61.

    I know, i shouldn't really but bmw's claim of 54mpg combined seems a bit of a joke!

Lovely car Walin. If it's any consolation I'm getting 45mpg at best from a 520d so I'd gladly take a hit of 10mpg on a 535d.

I've two cars. One is washed with super soft mitts, 2 bucket method and snow foam. The other one is washed wherever is cheapest or handiest. Different strokes and all that.

Don't worry, it'll be in getting the stone chips on the bonnet done in the new year, will get the rest of the body sorted then too.

The paint is incredibly weak on them. I was on the lookout for one a few months back and bar one they all were covered in stonechips along the bonnet and the front wings.

Yeah, the shape of the front encourages stone chips too.
