Thanks Top Dog, yeah she is well minded, kids get a bit jealous when she gets tucked in and a bedtime story and they get a kick in the hole up to bed!

If there's a boards meet sometime over the summer Truckermal it shouldn't be a problem.

Was visiting my dad in Vienna, I borrow it when there. This used to be registered as an 91D, as I recall, until they moved.

70,000km on the clock, still going strong. The only damage is to the rear bumper due to someone hitting him last month, and the wood/veneer has cracked on the center console due to heat expansion. Otherwise, fine. Only thing to note is that what was a luxury fit/finish thirty years ago is now looking very, very pedestrian.

Heat expansion??? how does that happen:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Material expands and contracts from high / low temps. Prolonged exposure to this results in the material cracking. Cracked dash is very common on classic cars.

    oops...I know,

(I was looking out the window here....and longing:()

Used to crack my sunglasses when I left them on the dash(in the old country )

    Yeah, makes sense.

Where can I get this? Is it expensive?

What's worse are those car washes that have popped up everywhere....

They found the brush wash to damage but not as bad as those using sponges and same water etc over a period of a number of washes.

Microfiber mitt or lambs wool is where it's at for less risk of swirls on the paintwork.

A Hamam in Instanbul would be a good place to start.

Surprisingly not as bad as using the manual car wash brush or a sponge either afaik.

Automated car washes are a bit of a no no with the civic though as they can damage the seal between the two rear screens. The bottom screen is plastic so it's a bit delicate.

Terrible pics and rotten dirty, but I installed euro style pressed metal plates earlier which I think freshens it up a bit. Double checked with the plater maker they adhered to the legal specification but I'm not sure looking at them. Ah well, see how it goes. All I've left to do now is get my hands on some 20mm wheel spacers and I'll have her the way I want.

EDIT: Not sure why the pics are little and large.

FE-Schrift font is I'm afraid not legal for UK plates - the characters aren't big enough.

Only two fonts are permitted in the UK - one for cars with the EU flag on them (unlike here, it's not required), and another for cars without this.

Damn, thought as much. I'll just get regular plates in pressed metal I guess. Cheers.

Thanks. It's tough. I don't mind the petrol. I don't mind the insurance. But the tax, the tax is scandalous.
I drove home behind a focus throwing black smoke out the exhaust, frustrated knowing the driver was paying a fraction of what I was because his is adjudged to be 'greener' in this country :(
Still, I will NEVER get tired of the sound of the V6 :)

Cheers, they're Anthracite, sets off the blue nicely. Planning on getting them redone as they have a few marks at this stage!

I kerbed mine going into C.U.H. carpark one day.
They are similar looking colour to yours but when sprayed there is two different colours used so impossible to get a colour match.
As far as I know, I think if Lexus repair one, they spray the other one one the same side as well so they both match.
