Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lowered the Euro R a few days ago with springs that came with the car. Found out afterwards they were 50mm lower. They need to go! Way to hard and too low! Might get 35mm springs instead.

    Second this ^...

..I think the Accords look very well lowered.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,339 ✭✭✭brembo26

The back is way to low, I dont mind the front. Ill post a full proper pic of it tomorrow. Its just way to solid at the moment, the comfort is completely gone from it. :pac:

Was on to icetronics earlier so ill order a new set off them that will be a bit more comfortable while still keeping the lowered look.

It doesn't actually which is surprising.

May as well add it has a tanabe cat back exhaust. Has the perfect balance of nice and quiet when you want it to be but has plenty of grunt in vtec. Also has a mines induction kit. Both work very very well together!

It's just that bit too hard! I'm only 27 and I can feel it! Would be fine if it was only town driving but as my daily driving the roads I do it's not ideal 😂

I'm going change the piano black trim on dash and door cards and centerconsole to the aluminium IN NEXT couple of weeks I think the all black is way to dark inside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,432 ✭✭✭Wailin

Hard to believe that piano black is a €900 extra when speccing it from new. Crazy crazy money. It is nice but I can imagine in an all black interior it would be too much alright. My previous 525d had the black interior with aluminium trim and it did look well. Good luck in changing it out!

^ I much prefer an all black interior in BMWs. I changed all my crappy wood, silver trims to black.

Is it easy to do in the f10?

As long as you know where the clips are and how to remove the pieces it's easy enough for any car. A lot of these things just pop into place and can be popped out easily enough with no chance of clips being damaged.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,297 ✭✭✭✭bazz26

I hate that fake fine line wood in my current F10 too, much preferred the titanium inserts on my previous one. The fake wood is also very fragile, the amount of small hairline scratches I can see on the cup holder lid in the centre console at certain angels annoys the life out of me at times.

The inserts in the doors are fairly straight forward to change but the dashboard and centre console look a lot more tricky to remove.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,854 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

As far as the F30 goes for the dash, you just get your fingers in behind the trim, pop it out, remove the wires for the door lock/hazard buttons and there you have it.

They are pretty handy enough to do I have had the dash trim off already to check the connections behind the screen. I ordered an android screen for it and they sent me an nbt screen instead of the cic screen I ordered.

The center console will be a bit more fidgity a few bits of switches and stuff need to be taken out and swapped over but patience and YouTube and you won't go far wrong.

It would look nice on a white or cream interior I can see it been worth the 900 but not on a black car and black leather.

The car itself is se spec but the guy that ordered it went all out and got sports leather steering wheel and active suspension and black panel trim haha.

Had the day off today, so gave her a quick de-tar, wash and wax. Really need rear spacers as the 18' MV2s aren't staggered and the rears look a little lost. I'll get around to it eventually.

Everyone to their own of course, but I really can't stand the aluminium/titanium trim with light oyster leather.

It just doesn't look right to me. Now with black leather it is probably my favourite interior colour combo on the f10, had it in my last car.

Current interior with anthracite. More classy but not sporty at all.

Pick up a trim removal kit. They are relatively inexpensive but you won't wreck the interior with scratches etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,541 ✭✭✭Leonard Hofstadter

The aluminium looks out of place in the F10 IMO especially in the beige. I like the dark wood, I think it looks classy, I'd also be a fan of piano black, that looks sporty but still classy in an executive saloon.

I don't know if they did it in the F10 but I really like the hex cube trim strips fitted to my E46.

Can be picked up for around 250 on eBay for good clean set.

Her F10 has the dark wood. It scratches by just looking at it. Was looking at the options and while the silver would be nice I don't think she's bothered enough to spend that much sorting it.

I think I polish up by a detailer and a clear wrap on it might be the route I'll go for it.
