Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To add... The slight wheel turn is the equivalent of a model putting her hand on her protruding hip. :D

Years back I was chatting to a photographer from whatever magazine folk tried to sell their car through back in the 90s (name escapes me now but it was the only job and it wasn't the buyandsell thing either). He was out taking pictures of a colleagues 1.6i Ghia Orion, he reckoned the slight wheel turn was absolutely essential iirc :)

The only question is whether it's slight turn in or turn out. Wars have been fought over less.

Was late by the time I got it home, obligatory garage night time pic. Yes it needs a good detail.
I'm very tempted by one of these. Best of luck with it.

Unfortunately I only had one day in it as I'm abroad now. Literally the worst time to get a new car. I'm only mad to go home and drive it. It's stupidly quick and fun for only a 250BHP car. The gear shifting is seamless as is the switching between electric and petrol, you don't even know it's happening. Sport pro mode is a blast!

    Mayor out.

The inside of my car looks it's straight out of the showroom. So do the windows, the reg plates and the lights.

The rest of it looks like I lent it to Indiana Jones for two months.

I was very glad of one on Sunday. Got a safe handwash done on Sat, gave the thing a skim of wax myself. Then the car got covered in tree sap as there was a downpour that brought a huge amount of the stuff down.

I didn't avail of the brush of course, just the detergent and the rinse.

Wouldn't even trust the detergent. I know of places that use fairy liquid (along with the detergent) to make it sud up more..... I use the powerwasher only, use my own shampoo

I really am having second thoughts about selling this. I love the thing. But I know the insurance is just gonna go up and up for me..

Your insurance should stay relatively steady with your current insurer, all current restrictions on older cars are for new customer quotes, existing customers are fine. I think you said you were getting a work van, you should think about the impact of not being on your own policy for 2 years will mean no claims gone, could be more of a cost difference getting insured again than you would lose keeping your car insured.

I have a 2006 S60 and my insurance has remained steady for the past 2 renewals. I also live in Limerick city which appears to have a loading unfortunately/confusingly.

I transferred my details from tipp to Limerick a few weeks ago €300. No idea why.

I've never had a quote from my current insurer that's stayed level or gone down.

I really need to sort out the cosmetics this year coming now that the drivetrain is largely sorted, either a near full respray or at least a front end refresh and refurbish the wheels :)

There was an E46 Touring sitting on a Gold and Silver set, I could've sworn they were your old wheels!

My ones are on a e36 325 coupe now. The lad who bought my touring has put white rondells on it! By far the nicest wheel on older BMWs.

I agree with above I wasn't a fan of them myself but they have grown on me. I wouldn't mind one myself but I wouldn't be able to afford one. That one looks to be in very good condition it also looks like it was upgraded to coil on plug.

No, the superb was me in the car on my own 99% of the time. The flexibility of an estate or big hatch is all I need.

Have some good driving roads to where I live and where the superb just crapped it's pants the 330 (diesel and all) is just so much more enjoyable. The superb was great at some things but driving wasn't one of them.

    Very nice!
The black grills are a must. Make a big difference imo. I bet you have some sore knuckles though.

What’s the spec on it? Is it M Sport? Doesn’t seem to have xenons?

My phone won't even recognise my finger prints after it!

Yeah, spec was the one thing that I had to concede on. Was really low miles (36k) and in fantastic condition so went with it. Very few 330 tourings to chose from.

MSport, the 19s, back leather, sports auto, front and rear sensors, power tailgate, the m-sport braking, autofold mirrors.

Retrofit xenons or leds will be done, same with the new nav system.

The current Nav system is superb in them - way better than the VAG offerings. The xenons give you the lovely “angel eye” LED DRL’s too. Probably not an easy retrofit though I imagine. There’s guys who specialise in doing it in the U.K., particularly the Nav retrofits. Not so much here though I’d say.
