Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

is it the 189 bhp 2ZZ with VVTL-I you are talking about?

As for why? The 1.5 still has great power to weight in ratio and offers a fun car for people on a budget. For people who wanted more they offered the Corolla or Celica with the 2ZZ.

All of the above, and there's something about being able to absolutely thrash engines like that without losing your license, that appeals too.

ToyotaFanBoi used to have a white Phase 1 T-sport as well a number of years ago. If I am not mistaken.

    I really like them.

Yeah, it was definitely the one that got away for me. The 1.5 has plenty of poke for the size of car to be fair, they are a bit of a go kart but in a good way, I'd definitely have another but would prefer a UK one. It changed hands a few times after I sold it and the last owner flipped it and it landed on its roof, he was ok but the car was fecked, all pillars look like they caved, not a window left in it.

Is the insurance loaded because it's an import?

No actually surprisingly, insurance was reasonable. Not much more than the Irish 1.3 corolla I have! One of those cars not known by insurance companies much I suppose. I'm planning on getting a Blitz or TRD supercharger kit for it, lucky where I work we import stuff like this from Japan. Should bring it up to around 150bhp. Definitely holding on to this one for a while!

Well at least you've a good size boot to put the plate in after you change it...

Compared to my old 7th gen Estate the new boot is the size of a glovebox!
The plate will just about fit in it.

Nothing special just a 2.2 Camry that I picked up in Sydney. Few issues with it but it drives well. The auto box is quite smooth as well, a lot better then I expected. It handles like a boat (even compared to my Mondeo) but the comfort makes up for it.

Was considering the 3.0l but just ended up with the 2.2, probably the more sensible option for traveling around in as wel tbhl. Over here is absolutely flooded with them still, as with many other older cars.

My Seat Leon that I acquired earlier this year, it spent all of it's life in the Carlow/Kilkenny area until I brought it down south and brought it back to life, these photos were taken after getting wheels and paint work done, but I have had many more things done to it since, I just don't have the photos as yet.

Wifes new car - 2017 Seat Leon FR 2.0 ST Diesel 184 bhp. Quite a capable motorway driver. Around 11.5k miles on the clock. I reckon we saved about 4 k euro going north. The boot is HUUUUUUUGE.

From the other thread i gather a 330? A very nice colour on them, the brakes look HUGE behind those wheels - must be the M Sport upgraded brakes?

Are they 300 odd horses? nice car mate

I think you might need a minimum of 50 posts to post links or pics.
You could write out the link to the pic and type DOT in place of a '.' though.

Pure happenstance that we both ended up with Volvos but they were the best available at the times we needed new cars

Nothing special in my S80 D4 but I must say I love its extra size in the cabin.
    2.0L 181bhp

My wife's on the other hand is what I would have wanted, if the timings were right.

    V70 D5
2.5L 212bhp and a lovely gurgle from the 5 pot engine (some people call it metallic, I love it)

Picture from last weekend not a great one put it is fairly dirty at the moment have the A4 7 months now. Still really love it, its definitely the best car I have ever owned there is a lot of stupid small features that really just make it very nice. I have 15k km up on it now but will be putting it up a bit faster over the next year as I am starting back in college part time.

Need to get it booked in for a service now.

Was able to download them all last night anyway. Seems to be working better than it was the last while but I'd just take any unsaved photos and let it out to pasture at this stage. It's really unpredictable and spammy now.

I did have another A3 Saloon between Audi6 and the X1, but it was such a miserable spec base model that I didn't even bother taking a pic.

Briefly had a V40CC between the X1 and the 3 Series as well.
