Nice set up, you are up on Haldex servicing and the usual 2.0 TFSI issues ?

Yup, done the research for sure! And the pickup pipe.

Pick up pipe isn't really as much as an issue as the old 1.8T even then it was more the longitudinal engines.

Haldex service, and cam follower inspection/replacement are the 2 big lads.

Only a 418d, much smaller than it looks :( But it runs well, 110k km. Might remap the ECU, the engine's well able for it, should bring it up to par with a 420d. Previous owner put on replica 666m wheels, 20 inch.

I put the E92 back up for sale as I've seen a project I want (Mk 2 TT quattro). I won't quote the pics, but if anyone's interested give me a shout. If it doesn't go it's getting a serious summer detailing.

I tried following the guide, but still can't embed the pic. If someone could oblige: https://ibb.co/z7ZNJhc

BBcode is the one you want under embed codes near bottom of page.

Had been putting off cleaning up the car, a viscous bird attack spurred me on :pac:

Nice Car I seen it about Cork pity it's only a 316D..

Fine car, there's a few f30s on here. May be common knowledge, but I use it a fair bit now for choosing music. On Android auto to use voice recognition you need to do a long press of the button to by pass the in car voice recognition. My car just has basic Bluetooth streaming but a long press of the voice recognition button flicks on Google assistant, who then can play Spotify requests etc. Pretty handy.

Does your phone need to be connected to aux or is Bluetooth okay? And you long press the voice button on the steering wheel controls?

I have enhanced Bluetooth but not android auto.

Just connected via Bluetooth, should work fine.

Both cars got some treatment the past few days, the A4's first polish! They're nothing fancy compared to some of the cars here, but they're looked after and do the work without complaining.

Washed this morning and already pretty dirty after a quick spin :(

Absolutely hate the tow bar arm. Was told it was welded and it'd be a nightmare to get off. How would it fare at the NCT of I went at it with a hacksaw as close to the weld as I could get? :/

You would get it done but there would be plenty of cursing and be at it a while. :D

I wouldn't have thought so either, it's why I never went at it. I've a fine selection of hand tools but that's the height of it unfortunately. Open to suggestions on better ways to remove it!

Angle Grinder is yer only man.

Is it common practice to weld a towbar on?

I have it about 10 months so I hope not :D I'm thinking of swapping it out after I renew the NCT though.
