I watched a guy do it years ago. He sprinkled talc on the window on the outside then lay the tint over it and used a heat gun to shape it to the curve of the glass first, then cut it to the shape of the window.

I had the dark tint removed off my 4x4, I couldn't see a thing at night and ran the risk of getting a yellow sticker from the cops (compulsory vehicle test) if caught.

tints are legal on the back why would you get a ticket ?
i can see out fine at night

    No idea I'm afraid
I've seen a few cars he has done and they were all good so I booked it in and walked away
Can't see any flaws in it so I'm happy

Was that solar guard in Cork?? I got the one under that and thought it was too dark..

API tint and graphics in midleton, I looked at solar guard but thought they would be expensive

I got the darkest one for the small fella in the back, we had window socks for the sun on the last car but they look stupid and scratch the bottom of the door

Ya same here it's a great job, solar guard done ours through Audi Cork but had loads of bubbles in it which looked ridiculous on a new car...

My car is meant to be driven, and it gets driven plenty :)

Went for a good long drive, only to pull up at a viewpoint of former youth, mischief and debauchery, to chill and watch the sunset. Was not disappointed :)

Baz, if you want to get the shiny look off the steering wheel leather, get yourself a leather cleaner spray and a pack of those magic sponges in Lidl. Brings back the matt, smooth, clean, new look of a steering wheel after a gentle clean.

Thanks for the tip MM. BMW steering wheel trim doesn't take very kindly to hands.

Here is Tony. Got him last week when I got back out here. Such a nice car actually, you can buy this model brand new for $28k!

I'll only have it for about 5 weeks but I think it looks the bidness in black anyway. It's no Hemi V8 but a 300bhp V6 does the job rightly. :)

I've never been sad to see a car getting sold. But, I've been through a lot with this one. She was my daily driver for a couple of years from 2011 to 2014. I had it completely restored and poured quite a bit of cash and energy into her. I suppose she was like any other high maintenance girlfriend, except this one never nagged at me, or let me down. In 2014, she was rear ended. After getting fixed and being left laid up for far too long, I decided she needed a new home. Tomorrow she will be gone. My Mitsubishi FTO GPX Manual.

SOLD now. Hope the new owner gets as much joy as I did from her. Judging by the big smile on his face when he drove her to the petrol station, I would say he will.

Can be a helluva wrench alright, but good to see it going to a good home.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Took the wagon on holiday's the last few days. Came close to boiling over in the heat, lost the back bumper before even leaving Cork, one of the speakers gave up the ghiost snd the side light is currently held with cable ties, but 650 miles up on the clock with a smile on my face and some magnificant roads driven up the West coast. David Attenborough would be proud of the bug collection on the front. Had to call in and get a blessing on the car for no more problems hahaha
