Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I also took advantage of the weather! :pac: :P

    jJqd8MB.jpg

I did all my driving last weekend (around 550Km) so this weekend it needed a good clean.

I tried that clay mitt from Halfords. Bit of a difference alright! The metallic paint pops a lot more now. It looked more like gloss black before. I still have some swirls which I'll need to figure out how to handle...

Are you an L-plater or is it for your wife? Looks really good!

For some reason I Iove Fiat pandas. Always fancied a 100hp until I was disowned by my mates for thinking about it.

Here's my own wash and wax pic from today

Never liked that attitude from people just because it's a fiat or what ever. Just remember you buy a car for yourself, not for others. However sometimes a friends views or opinion can have a big influence when choosing a car, sadly. :(

    Nice fiesta btw!

There's very few for sale here unfortunately, only 1 every few months. It would have been a trip to England almost and that would work out expensive.

I'm glad I went for a proper hot hatch too in the end!

    Nice Fiesta!

I get some stick from a few people for driving a Panda but I don't care. It's a great car. I'm a bit limited in what I can drive due to my height (and shoe size) but the Panda is great for room. Plus I needed something cheap to insure for herself. I've driven a few newer Fiesta's and found the foot well a bit cramped. Otherwise I'd probably have one.

    100% correct. :)

Planes reg would tell nothing - it's not that planes reg (and obviously that's decommissioned plane, by the way). :)

Just bought this beautiful little beast the other week. Out for a spirited Sunday drive on some twisty mountain roads. Me likely this car :D

Everything about the GTI can be found at this link - http://www.speedhunters.com/tag/project-gti/

You're right though, I went from what was a perfectly finished car back to the start again. I don't regret it though, as this is turning into the car I've always wanted. It's fast, economical and reliable. I didn't have to choose just two from that list either!

    @Paddy

    Splendid taste indeed

Awesome write up on your 'Project GTI', I had a quick scan through as it's getting a bit late here but the link is favorited and i'll be reading it in detail tomorrow! some very good inspiration in there!

I only just got my GTI so mods are still to be decided upon, I'm thinking along the same initial steps in terms of preventative maintenance though.

You wrote about the factory PCV system and diverter valve setup. I still have to research all of this, but you reckon it's probably worth me doing aswell? Any thoughts regarding the chain tensioner issue or anything DSG related that I should be doing?

    It's an MY10 CCZB DSG

R tail lights are up after that me thinks... they look very slick!

That's a nice reg MM. Did you input the spacings between the dashes inside the previewer when you were ordering or do they do it themselves. I think that reg looks the business.

You just need to add a note to the order / drop the guy (Trevor) an email after you order and ask about spacing the digits, etc. He's well used to getting requests like that.

No, I just typed in the reg as normal without any changes to standard. He may have adjusted it slightly in order to fill the plate a bit better since there's not many digits on it.

I couldn't have been happier with the job.
