Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Have to love the Leicester fans

    " We are staying up"

I've got sympathy for Atkinson there. From his angle that looks like a pen all day long, the linesman will struggle to properly see that too. Literally the only angle you could see what really happened there from would be front wards facing.

It was a definite penalty. Mad stuff out of some on here claiming it wasn't. But they should have had a free up the other end, no doubt.

Would you cop on Vardy put his leg into Monreal

those are always given for a peno, always, clever play ,stupid by monreal to just stick a leg out

Can see the crowd getting to the ref in the second half and Arsenal getting a dodgy decision.

    Kante is ridiculously good.

    Definite pen in fairness.
    Stupid from Monreal.

Harsh penalty but I can see why he gave it. It looked a penalty all day long from first time seeing it and that's what the ref saw.

FA want Leicester to win? Refereeing looking a bit like what Brazil got in the opening game of the World Cup.

I want Leicster to win the league as much as anyone but not like this.

Absolute nonsense, if Leicester win the league they win it on merit. Sour grapes all around.

Ah lads, it's a conspiracy now???

Leicester deserve to be top because they are top. Table doesn't lie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Ozil off his game and Sanchez still not back to his best. It's going to be tough to get anything out of this game unless our 2 best players up their game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,029 ✭✭✭tastyt

Never a penalty, definitely a dive by vardy but that kind of hanging the leg move is very common nowadays so they are sometimes given.

The really bad decision was not giving the foul on ozil by Morgan, all over him.

    Could this actually happen.........

So running into a player standing still is now a penalty? Thanks once again referees for ruining yet another Arsenal season (y)

Ah here. To say that's a reach would be an understatement.

Vardy certainly bought the peno but see why Atkinson gave it in real time.

Didn't think the "handball" was a peno either but only seen one replay so would need another look.

The last thing the FA or Premier League would want is Leicester to win it.

I think you'll find Monreal stuck his leg out and got nowhere near the ball. Yep, Vardy then ran into his leg. Penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,071 ✭✭✭Milkers

Don't stick your leg out and miss the ball in the box as a defender. Yes Vardy then maximised the contact but definite penalty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭Andre 3000

Vardy's "chat sh*t get banged" stare at Giroud after he scored was magnificent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Ozil needs to get into this game. If he supposed to be world class he needs to be changing big games like these.

    He didn't tackle him?

It was. He had his foot out to try and get the ball. It was a poor defensive decision. Arsenal had plenty of players back. He should have stood up and let Vardy go by.

We need a win to have a chance of winning the league. Looking unlikely I fear now. A second for Leicester and we are toast.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Leicester are winning this game and are on top of the league because all the over hyped pre madonnas are being out worked by them, not because of the FA who always favour the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, United. Kante has been awesome again so far.

Montreal's leg was so far stretched out it was almost in a different country. I don't know how vardy could avoid it. Anyhow the crime was committed on the other end of the pitch. It never should have got that far.

Wonder if he's like a shneiderlin and looks brilliant in an average side and only average at a really big club??

( obviously Leicester are making anybody that calls them an average side look foolish )

Vardy would have avoided Monreal if he actually followed the ball he was running with. Instead he changed his angle to run into Monreal. It was a dive.

It would be a shame if today was decided by a slightly iffy penalty. It would be given any day but just not sure how much Monreal could have done about it.

Savage game so far. Shame that we are down but I can see some absolute crackers coming up in the second half.

The Save from Cech on Kante was ridiculous.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,029 ✭✭✭tastyt

Vardy has had an amazing season but he's a really dislikeable weasel

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

What was Kosser doing going for a header against Kante????

    Madness

He doesn't have to avoid it either. It's a penalty all day long.

That was a stone wall penalty.

Henry said it was a Penalty in his opinion. And also didn't think it was a free against Ozil before that.

Henry just brushes away the free up the other end as if it didn't happen.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,609 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

Anyone who doesn't think that's a penalty are either Gooners grasping at straws or just don't watch a lot of football.

Why should Vardy have to jump out of the way of Monreals missed tackle? Even if he did try and jump out of the way, he probably still would have went down.
