Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Idiotic free kick to give away at the end there.

**** it, they deserve it though.

I don't think they did. Arsenal were clueless for most of the match
Against 11,/they were getting nothing out of that.

35 seconds after ref should have blown it up :(

Ref was pointing to his watch a fair few times during those 4 additional minutes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

All down to the rb steaming out like a bull. With 30secs left it was going to be hoisted back in but they gave arsenal the best chance and they took it.

They must have had 25 + attempts and despite wasting huge chances the got it done. They answered a few questions today arsenal about bottle and theyre also the only side to beat leicester twice this year.

Some end to this league in store. :)

Apart from a controversial penalty Leicester didn't offer much either. Before the penalty Arsenal looked the better side, and that was 11v11

Leicester try to do a Stoke on us today and failed were made look very average (arsenal weren't much better)

The red card was there own fault and should have had a 2nd in the 2nd half ....an in form arsenal would have blown them away like we did earlier in the season

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,012 ✭✭✭✭titan18

Did Welbeck even touch that, or does it just go straight in?

All things considered, it's a great result for the league as a whole. If Spurs or City win later (as in no draw) it's neck and neck again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,029 ✭✭✭tastyt

Arsenal deserved it to be fair. They created the chances to score 4 or 5. That said when it was 11 v 11 it was pretty close.

And even if you think Leicester were hard done by with the Simpson sending off , drink water could have easily gone for the tackle on Ramsey so it evens itself out

I don't think so. You don't always get what you deserve in football. I am not talking about this game because arsenal should have won this game easily.

Ozil showing up there at the end when it matters, what a ball.

Arsenal got there in the end, it wasn't convincing and, at 11 vs 11, looked very unlikely. Stating the obvious but this is Arsenal's best chance in a long time to win the league, looking at City's struggles, they really should win the league and yet I'm not convinced. I'm not convinced about this team to close it out, I'm not convinced about this team to do it against the very best. They made ridiculously hard work of that.

Turty doesn't even care about Leicester, he just has a deep hatred of anything Arsenal. Wele (of all people) scoring that must have broken him

What a stupid free-kick to give away at the end! Arsenal should have scored the winner earlier though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Well no we weren't in form that's a fact we'd won 1 in 4 previous to this and just getting back some of our more important players from injury

Suddenly Atkinson is a great ref.

The luck of the referee balanced out over time tbf. I think a lot would have taken a penalty and then try maintain a 1-0 lead for half an hour with ten men. Both decisions were questionable, it was a hard match for the ref really.
