Yeah January was anything but dull here! It was very wet, windy, mild and sunny. Amazingly, January's maximum is still higher than February or March's maximums here. The last time this happened was 2013.

January: 15.1c

Same here. My average temperatures for these events.

Easter Sunday 2016: 4.8c
Christmas Day 2015: 7.0c

Yeah it looks like this "warmth" for next week I was talking 'bout looks like staying in the south-east of England where they could potentially reach 15-18c.

I hope this doesnt end up like 2013 after a very mild winter where it turned bitterly cold from March till the end of May.

the first 2 weeks of April are looking mostly cool and some brief cold plunges, plenty of showers and rain events.

My deviations of average temperature (2015 'til then)

January: -0.8c
February: -1.2c
March: -0.8c
April: -0.7c
May: -1.7c
June: -0.7c
July: -1.2c
August: -1.2c
September: -1.9c

We don't want something like this again, do we? Especially a Spring like last year.... even though April was pleasant.

Strangely enough, there hasn't been any rainfall since yesterday morning here in West Clare, almost unparalleled sunshine for all of today and yesterday afternoon. Temps have been between 8+12c for the most part of the day.

Why they would want to publish this rubbish is beyond me when Met Eireann cant say what's happening this weekend according to the radio forecast last night, they are shooting themselves in the foot with this as some visitors will say lets go away for the holidays Salthill is going to be wet.

Although in fairness Salthill probably will be wet regardless of that dribble in the paper.

Fine day here in Dublin. Very low humidity at the moment. 37% at Dublin Airport and 42% here (in Dublin 16). No wonder it felt like I was on an airplane!
