Just looking at met eireann forecast for the week it's actually looking quite wet for Munster and south Leinster. Is the mini heatwave over before it started?

Very disappointing forecasts from MT and Met especially for the South. Looking South on the latest Sat image a hell of a lot of cloud coming in our direction the next few days.

I don't care much that it will be unsettled, at least it's warmer than normal!

Agreed it's better than cold and wet anyway. Where did this mini heatwave nonsense originate?

A few dj's on the radio parroting something vacuous from the Red tops as usual
Because it was on the radio like
    The usual

Anyway 18.3c now in Arklow in glorious sunshine :D

Starting to brighten up nicely here in castlebar, much warmer today in just a light south easterly breeze

Aye if Suns out and that land breeze, low 20s likely up there with an over warm land wind run of several hundred miles

Some fine and heavy showers pushing up southeasterly across the southern half of the country. Here in West Clare its clouded over significantly (Hazy sunshine up to 20mins ago), but 18c. The wind chill is quite unpleasant, especially as the sun has gone in.

18C here making it warmest day of the year so far. Glorious day, still a big difference between here and the south-east of England with 27C.

No sign of the sun at all today, 2 hours of rain, now dark overcast.

Sun out now in West Clare, a lot warmer and far heavier than earlier, very pleasant even in the breeze.

If I'm not mistaken I may even be a bit sunburned from sitting out earlier

Warm and balmy in west mayo, louisburgh, with that beautiful continental haze obsuring the mountains in the distance, cobalt blue waters, and wispy mares tails drifting westwards out to sea with a gentle zephyr.
