Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i'd advise against it unless you are dead set on it, pay for a mechanic is rubbish. my friend loves cars and is a mechanic and doesn't enjoy it, he said he should have just kept it as a hobby.

you'd probably have to know someone to get into a garage, thats how a lot of them apprentice positions would be filled. hgv mechanic would have more apprenticeships with bigger companies.

you'd be better off doing a plumbing or electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship if you want to go the apprenticeship route.

This is a good thread on the subject: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=97323300

interesting point from that is a workshop manager explaining that the top wage for a experienced technician/mechanic is 15 quid an hour. Not great money.

Contact the training college that provides the class-room training. (Are they still called Solus?) They may be able to help you find a sponsor.
