    Unreal putt by Pavan

Nothing you can do about that. Pavan holes a monster.

Pod misses his. Pavan leads by 1.

    Tentative effort really.

  • Registered Users Posts: 616 ✭✭✭BoroMan32

That was a tentative stroke there, when he should have been in full on attack mode. Signs don't look promising. Still, two holes to go.

Could be curtains for him now.

We would have taken this all year to be fair.

    Still a good weekend

Pavan has been flawless on this back 9 in fairness to him.

Clutch stuff from Pavan on the back 9 it must be said.

All over on the 17th. Harrington 2 behind now. Pity.

Pavan has been class on the back nine. Harrington just not quite done enough. It's got to be very disappointing for him.

Yes but it shows signs he can still be competitive.

And remember this birdie fest situation isn't even supposed to suit Padraig either

The 18th looks too easy to par. Hard to see a two shot swing.

Pavan has definitely gone and won this, fair play to him. Great week for Padraig, although he will be disappointed. Hopefully he builds on this (still not over though)

Hard luck to Padraig, 69 was about par today and just not good enough. Pavan came and got him on the back 9, played stunningly and is a deserved champion.

-5 on the back 9 from Pavan will do the job. Fantastic and a deserved winner. And great to see Padraig contending again!

Great stuff from pavan in fairness but paudie will be disappointed though never fired on the back nine when push came to shove.

Missed that one short par putt but on the other hand, he was a whisker away from birdies on both 17 and 18, could've been very different on another day. 2 bogeys over the entire week is some effort.

To be fair to paddy, I would have said that his form more alarmingly tailed off after 2009. Seems a long time ago now so people have probably forgotten but he was actually in very good form in the 2nd half of 2009. He was right in the hunt in the PGA with a few holes to go (I think he bombed a chip on a par 3 across the green and into the water to kill himself off) and was top 5 most if not all the Fedex events and was in the hunt to win it going into the final tournament, all be it he would have needed to win it I think...anyway, just thought i'd give him the benefit of an extra year's credit of top end competitiveness..

True. Great second half of 2009 shouldn’t be overlooked.

Played very well today but beaten by the better guy on the back nine. 27th second place on the ET.

In fairness that back 9 by Pavan was great. Game of inches, would be talking about an amazing back 9 for Harrington if got the hole in one and didn't miss that one short putt.

Nice to see a new winner

Tbh after his comments yesterday - today from Padraig was a lot better then I expected.

Sunday is always a really hard day if you go into Sunday at the top of leaderboard.

Still thought he would be the man to do it coming down the back nine. Still, can't deny Pavan deserved it. And great to see Padraig contending. Disappointed but at same time delighted to see him up there. If he can repeat that a few times, another win is realistic. Come on Padraig!

He is now 143 in the R2D rankings.

It won't make a huge difference to his world ranking as the strength of field in the Czech Masters wasn't very high with no players ranked in the top 50 and just three ranked between 51 and 100...... Eddie Pepperell (59), Thomas Pieters (60) and Matt Wallace (76).

A tournament which was (unfortunately from our perspective perhaps) extremely well wrestled out of his hands.

Still though - 47 years of age and STILL in contention with 4 holes to go on Sunday in a birdie fest of a European tour event.
