Have been watching your website with respect to eFiber rollout.

Had been told that Jan-Mar 16 it would be available in my area.

This was reflected on the eFibre map (https://www.eir.ie/eirfibreinfo/map/) with the status of 'Available within 6 weeks' and with the Fibre Roll out map (http://fibrerollout.ie/where-and-when/) stating GRT1_E01 was in build completion

This has now changed to 6 months, whereas the number checker still states Jan-Mar 16 for my number

Can anyone check when it will actually be available?

For the record, local TD, Ciaran Cannon has said the service is expected to roll-out in June post confirmation by Eir.
    I shall hold my breath!

Well according to Eir, it's within the next 6 weeks :-) (obviously you should ignore that completely :-) )

Another follow up - 3 cabinets were due to go-live yesterday.

Was talking to the rep for an alternate provider and they expect speeds in the town for Fibre enabled lines of between 7Mb and 8Mb per their current information on the relevant cabinets.

Given that I can get 14Mb on ADSL (and that I don't upload much) I can't see much use in this as yet.

Concrete information from Eir / OpenEir is hard to get.
